Yes, there are Black Catholics as there are Black Jews.

Actually you are wrong, as if you go to Catholic Singles on the web, people there would rather marry a Catholic of any race than a non Catholic, so you really should get your fact straight.

My point is that marriage is hard enough as it is without making things harder. I don’t care who you are, but before people marry they need to consider their future children. That is why in the Catholic Church they want people to spend time before the marriage in marriage prepartion.

When you marry someone outside your race, outside your religion you are making it even more difficult for that marriage to suceed.

Children can be very cruel to other children that are different. That is a fact. Children from a marriage to two different races have a harder time. That is a fact. I don’t care what two adults of consenting age do, but I think that no matter who you are, you need to think about future children that you are bringing into the world.

I don’t feel that those of us over 50 who were raised to marry our own kind are racist. People use the word Racist toward people who disagree with the politically correct mantra. When you over use a word it looses its meaning.

I believe in free speech, free thought, and people being able to make their own mind about the issues without being called a racist, because they hold old fashion values that we were raised with.

I have seen Antis use violence and justify the use of violence against people they label racist who are not racist. Violence on both sides is wrong.

Keep calling people racist who are not racist but who hold a different view point than what is politically correct and you will continue to add to the numbers of WN groups. When you keep telling someone they are racist and they are not, after a while, they will check out the WN groups that you have lumped them with.

Who are the real haters? People like me who believe one marrys people who share the same background, faith, and values or people who see a racist in every corner and who condone violence used against the so called labeled racist, who isn’t a racist, but a person who on likes to make their own decissions on issues and not parrot the politically correct mantra that passes as the only truth today.

Truth, of course, being subjective to the greater Nazi agenda.

The Washington Times editor posts a lot on the right-wing FreeRepublic.com as well, using an assumed name (BurkeCalhounDabney) but often linking back to his personal website, where there are photos of him and the rest of his large family of Seventh Day Adventists ”

I think he is saying that tv shows push on young people that the natural and normal thing is to marry outside your race. Those of us who were raised in a time when one was taught to marry your own kind still believe that. If one was Catholic they were encouraged to marry another Catholic. If one was Jewish they were encouraged to marry another Jew. It has nothing to do with racism, but knowing that a marriage is more likely to succeed if you share common values, religion, and as marraige is hard enough as it is it is much more harder when you have people who are of different religions, race, and backgrounds. That does not make me racist, because I believe it is best to marry someone who is like you.

My nephew who I love very much is dating a girl outside his race. I want him to be happy. They are adults and I believe should be able to make their own decision. My concern is that if they marry and have children; how will the children be treated. Children can be very cruel to other children who are different. I know I was different because I had dyslexia and so I was teased horridly as a child. Just because I think that two people of different races must really think hard about their future children and what life will be like for them before they marry and bring children into the world, does not make me racist.

Today in society I see the word RACIST being thrown out to anyone who may disagree with the politically correct thought that is popular. By lumping all these people who may not agree with every politically correct view that hits the public square as racist, you are playing into the hand of the real racists. You parents know that if you keep telling your children he is dumb, or that he is bad, that after awhile he is going to act that way, because he starts to see himself as that way. If you keep telling someone he is RACIST because he is against illegal immagration, inter-racial marriage, abortion, gay marriage when he isn’t, but still believes in the old fashion values he was raised with. After a while, they will start to believe that they are racist and think that WN and the far right reflect their view when they don’t.

For many of us who are against Abortion or Gay marriage it is because as Catholics we are taught that Abortion is evil and that the scrament of marriage is between a man and a woman. I know our Bishop put out a booklet and in the booklet about Catholics in the public square said that somethings we as Catholics can disagree with, but somethings we as Catholics could not disagree with the church on and still be good Catholics. Abortion(because that is the taking of innocent life) is one of those things that we as Catholics cannot disagree with the church on. The Sacrament of marriage being between a man and a woman is another issue we cannot disagree on. So now are Catholics considered evil racist because our faith is very important to us and we consider abortion and gay marriage something we are against and will fight against?

What happen to freedom of speech and thought in this country? It seems like only one side of the issue is allowed to bring forth their thoughts without being called an evil racist because they disagree with the politically correct view. What happen to people looking at all sides of the issue, researching it, searching for the truth and making up their own mind. In this country today, we hear one side of the issues. We need a fair doctrine Bill that will require that all points of view are heard. America is becoming a country where we don’t have a free press or media anymore and that anyone who may hold a different view from the politically correct view is an evil racist or a red communist.

I get it from both ends. On some issues I get called a evil riacist and on other issues I get called a red commie because of my stand on the enviorment, the war on Iraq and other issues that I stand with the Democratic party on. On the other side because I as a Catholic can not support a platform where abortion, illegal immagration or Gay Marriage is supported I am called an evil racist who hates.

When I grew up America used to be a free society, but more and more each other, I see the freedom of speech and thought stripped away, and we have become an nation of people who parot whatever popular idea that is pushed for that season.

I think it is sad that we have a nation who knows more about Paris Hilton than the issues that we need to solve as a country. We are facing very serious issues such as the War in Iraq, the Enviroment, Health Care for all Americans, and Securing our borders so that terriorist who want to carry out another attack on this country can’t bring a suit case of a nuke over the border and carry out the attack. Don’t fool yourselves into thinking that bin Ladden doesn’t want to attack us again. For me personally finding a way to work together as a country to solve the more serious issues facing this country is more important. Sorry, but I don’t think rather someone is against two people marrying is as important as the other issues that our country are facing.

I don’t know this McCain person. So I am not judging him one way or another.
