Cleric Group Fights Hateful Immigration Rhetoric

A group of Arizona religious leaders is calling for local and state officials to end what Christians for Comprehensive Immigration Reform terms “hateful rhetoric” which conflicts with the Christian tradition of offering hospitality to strangers.

    We must follow the teachings of our Faith and welcome the stranger as Jesus did.

    The people that propagate hatred of immigrants would outlaw the actions of the Good Samaritan, which is appalling. And those people call themselves “Christian.” I’m sorry but I don’t think so.
