It has been more than a week now since this article was published and we have all of 3 comments (including my own). I happen to know that many on the Left have heard of this issue being expounded upon and yet we find silence.
I was not a fan of Ronald Reagen but he was reported to say that the he “did not leave the Democratic party, the Party left him”. As we approach another election in the US, the deciding voters appear to be the swing voters. These are the people (like myself) who no longer vote “Party”. If those who control the DNC realize what the radical Left does in turning off those of “middle of the road” political persuasion: they had better act upon it.
The extreme Left does not appear to pick up upon those issues [that often] appear to have a hyper-sensitivity to them. “Rap music” lyrics which identify women as objects or abject antisemitism disguised as criticism of Israeli foreign & domestic policy are left unaddressed. Where has the Woman’s movement been during the storm of Hip Hop music identifying women as “Bitches” & “Hoes”?
Black Hebrew Israelite concepts are a simple Christian Identity message; yet it’s untouched….
Self criticism is the Big Bad Wolf of the major parties who continually play it safe. And who is afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? – Those who are so vote-hungry that they would obviously make a poor choice for executive office!
This is a profound issue facing both Black & White individuals who would attest that they bare no bigotry and yet all we get is silence.

Wow, these Black Hebrew Israelite movement guys are out of their minds. It is just like the Christian Idenity Movement only with a different skin tone. Best to keep a very watchful eye on these guys.

I applaud the SPLC for discussing this issue as well as the article, “Antisemitism Goes to School”. I am getting on in years now but I once saw the Black & Jews on the Left as being very close. I am deeply saddened by this division.
To be very blunt, it has made be move from the Left on many occasions in the past 30 + years. (And I have often felt that many Conservatives don’t particularly care for issues close to the Black community either). However I will NOT be part of some agenda to discriminate.
I have OFTEN heard the “anti-Israel” rhetoric turn wider to antisemitism. I had seen this even in the 1970′s with the radical Left. I am VERY impressed with the SPLC in discussing this issue. I had often felt this was the dirty little secret that was left unspoken of. I know for a fact that many on the extreme Left won’t touch it.

I deeply believe that once a person goes to radical extremes on either the Right OR Left; they end up at the same ugly, hateful place….
