One thing we should keep in mind is that white people aren’t the only racists, just the more effective ones thanks to their socio-economic status. Hatred and distrust of “The Other” is as human as it gets. Unfortunately.

How many outrages and lawsuits does NYC have to have before they rid their department of psychotic racists?

Wow yes, NYC, Oakland, where I live Jacksonville, FL. Jacksonville is just pathetic. When the cops shoot yet another black youth, the entire community shrugs and says “must of had to shoot him”! We are setting records in killing black youths and feeling justified (and safer)! I am not sure why I find this so shocking; a few months ago, the School Board (yes the School Board) voted whether they should change the name of an elementary school that was educating a majority of black children because the school was named after a Klu Klux Klan leader (who was all a great businessman). The vote came right down racial lines; blacks voted to change the name, whites voted to leave it on the premise that they had to get back to the job of educating our children. Too bad, this is who is “educating” and “protecting” our children!

Only white people can commit hate crimes and other acts of racism. Surely you really don’t believe these hard working upstanding hispanics can be guilty of anything except defending themselves and the store??!!! (typed dripping with sarcasm)

After reading the story as well as some of the comments at the Daily News site, it seems there may be more to it than what has been reported. Rather than rush to judgement, I think we should wait to hear the full story come out before condemning these people.
