i think this man should be ashamed of his actions . i am a brazilian & i respect any race . so i intend on finding some back . my mother always taught me to be respectful to others and i think if this guy ever tries to find a job he should be fired cause that is very disrespectful . like gina said this is a freedom place and we should be respected . we so called immigrants do more of the hard works then any americans do . not to be mean but it is kinda true . and we should not stand for all this . let freedom ring .

    This IS not America anymore.

I remember when this was the norm, rather than the exception to the rule. Back in the day, we actually had broadcast standards. You couldn’t say this stuff on the air.

Under the old rules, Mann Coulter, Bill PervOReilly, Junkie Rush Limbaugh, Sean Insannity, Michael Savage Weiner and Michelle Anchor Baby Malkin would all have been FIRED and completely blacklisted from the industry.

I know this because I have a broadcasting degree, an old FCC First Class Radiotelephone license on my wall, and several years of radio and TV experience as a newsman and engineer before I changed careers to insurance.

We had standards back then. NONE of the right-wing blowhards would have made those standards and would have all been taken off the air.

These standards were in place before Chimpy Bush stole office in 2000, That year, Mann Coulter was kicked off MSNBC for insulting candidates. Four years later, she was calling Democrats “”gay” and getting away with it.

So, obviously our broadcasting standards went away during the Chimpy Reign of Error. Yes, the FCC is hard on swearing and letting a boob fall out of your bra. But they are doing absolutely NOTHING to stop the flood of right wing sewage that is spewing forth from our radios and TVs.

Another indication of this destruction of standards was when FOX News went to court and successfully argued that they did NOT HAVE TO TELL THE TRUTH while reporting the “news”. They could legally LIE and it was okay with a judge.

This is NOT America anymore. The American that I remember had moral and ethical values. Those values were destroyed by RIGHT WING REPUBLICANS.

The air waves belong to the public. And, the public demands respect of all people.

Too often idiot radio talk show hosts get too much notoriety about something that is verbally abusive. I hope this is not a stunt offered up by the radio station in which anyone who wishes to advertise to a large audience turns on that particular radio station to hear the rantings of a talk show host.

Getting listeners upset seems to be popular these days. I hope there is a vigilance in the matter of Jay Severin and any time he comes back on the radio, the listeners should turn the radio off or to another station. Let’s take back the air waves and show the radio stations who’s in control. A boycott of Jay Severin is in order…and maybe a law suit for slander!
