Conservative politicians and their corporate allies have run this country into the ground for the last thirty years, dismantling every single department that exists to protect the population, destroyed unions which represent the interest of working people nationwide, attempted to railroad habeas corpus (and have effectively done so for anyone labeled a “terrorist”), tried to destroy the Miranda Rights, allowed pollution of our air and water, allowed government more ability to intrude in our lives from social engineering legislation (abortion bans, sodomy laws, racial profiling just to start), used our tax payer money to fund religion proselytizing as a thinly veiled effort to move closer toward a theocracy while saving the money class more money.

Americans, mostly the working class, were sent off to die so that the rich could secure more oil contracts years into the future and deliver more dictatorship and heavy-handed imperialism to the middle east.

We’ve all but destroyed central and latin America and have a heavy propaganda machine going against any efforts at democratic reform in those countries.

I could go on, but I’ll stop here.

Suffice it to say Steve, your cry of poor representation rings hollow. And further more, contrary to recently developed propaganda, Obama really isn’t even that far left.

The tea party was nothing more than a pathetically embarrassing show of our country’s lack of investment in public education.

I was embarrassed.

Many innocent and hard working people who are struggling to make ends meet are watching the billionaires list on Forbes Magazine grow ever more. There is too much money in the hands of a select few while many others struggle to save their homes.
