Generally, its standard procedure to question the status quo of illegal alienz who are detained on suspected criminal activity. It comes with the package. If the LEA decides to partake in the 287(g) program, they are new guidelines in doing so. However, the program itself was rife with holes and flaws prior to the changes by DHS Napster--Manet Napolitano.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio who is the poster boy behind the reason for a much needed changes, was also the sole reason why the old 287(g) was tweaked a little bit. To prevent further racial profiling and Constitutional raping by law enforcement goons.

I praise the new changes, however, I don't think its good enough. Monitor Joe Arpaio in the coming months to see if he'll abide by the new guidelines. But its highly unlikely, because he doesn't follow anybody rules. Otherwise Napster Napolitano is too weak and subtle and may need to pull the 287(g) altogether and start from scratch. To prevent such abuses to the program.

I´m from this county, and it sickens me that North Carolina is becoming a hotbed of intolerance.

There are various communities in North Carolina that look upon the hispanic community with disdain and suspicion.

So what? 287(g) is no longer an effective tool. Napolitano and Obama gutted it.
