Fine. However, if anyone does ANYTHING to that foreman, any punishment meted out to the perpetrator should be given to Mr. White as well. I totally believe in free speech, but I also believe in accountability.

This was a bad ruling.
The criminals have more rights than the jurors. This sets a dangerous precedent because it means any juror can be intimidated by the accused.
The juries in all trials are forbidden from talking about the case as the trial proceeds. The accused should also be forbidden about talking about the trial as it proceeds.

The prosecution should definitely appeal this ruling. It’s ludicrous and very frightening. Who will ever want to serve on such a jury again?

I am totally shocked. Our free speech amendment so many times is stretched to the limit. People shouldn’t be allowed to make threats and then call it free speech. Is it free speech that Beck, Rush, Dobbs, Hannity and Buchanan should continue to screech lies and racist remarks and continue to be addressed as pundits voicing an opinion. It is sickening all the hate that is being thrust at us from everywhere. This is getting to be just as bad or perhaps worse than the McCarthy era.

Non-Whites need excercise their free speech in the same way as Bill White and Hal Turner and see if prejudices kicks in, or if there’s double standards at play here.
Then maybe, just maybe there might changes on what is protected speech and what is not.
Until then, the Constitution applies for every American regardless of skin color. We just have to learn to excercise our free speech the same way as Bill White and Hal Turner and see if the white supremacists will freaked.

No right is absolute! For example, in Walz vs the Tax Commission, the court ruled that although the tax exemption of churches is not constitutional but ” the public interest” would be better served by ruling for church tax exemptions.
This is one of the worst rulings by the supremes.
Another thing: the supremes have ruled that the “right of privacy” allows mothers to abort their children.
The jurors have a right to privacy, too.
This is certainly not a race issue.

I just take comfort in the fact that when man’s justice fails, God’s justice doesn’t. White will get his; what comes around goes around.
