Beating of White Victim Investigated as Hate Crime

Police said about 10 to 12 black youths attacked an 18-year-old white man with a piece of concrete in a racially charged assault that’s being investigated in Buffalo, N.Y. as a hate crime.

The only think sadder than this crime, are the comments written into the newspaper. If they are any indication of how far race-relations have come, then we’ve got a hell of a long way to go. . .still.

I think they should get the same thing that any other hate crime gets. It’s cowardly and coward need to be with harshly.

“Detectives say they have been hindered in their investigation by the victim’s reluctance to talk about the crime.”
Doesn’t sound like this poor victim wants any Justice, if he’s not willing to corporate with investigators. The orginal article states that this victim was a friend of the man them black youths were looking for. Perhaps I’m assuming this was a drug deal gone bad and not a random attack. So I’m willing to bet on it that this was not a possible hate crime. Because quite frankly, it sounded like the victim is trying to protect himself and his “friend” from the detectives. Which leads me to believed he and his “friend” may have been involved in an unrelated crime. Which may have provoked a retaliation from black youths.

Happens all the time but this is the first time I have seen this liberal site post anything about the white man getting a beatdown because of race.

Are my eyes telling the truth? Do I actually see an article written about a black on white crime and it’s a possible hate crime…. Well, good to see that so far it looks as though your site doesn’t actually toss in an occasionaly black on white HATE CRIME.

Usually when a victim of a violent crime refuses to corporate with authorities. It is because they have something to hide, such as in this case. His “reluctance” is an indication that something is fishy, thus suspicious. It doesn’t appear to be an innocent victim randomly attacked soley because he is white. That does not define a hatecrime.

Those of you commenting on this site’s ability to report on a possible hate crime committed against a “white” person, maybe you haven’t fully explored this site. If a crime is racially motivated and makes national news, this site reports on it. However, sometimes it’s easier to prove when a gang of white kids, wearing the hate uniform, commits a hate crime.

Am I the only one who sees a perverse satisfaction by those opposed to SPLC simply because the victim in this case was white?
