The idea that “we” get less because “they” get more is idiotic. Americans in Europe get the same medical coverage that “natives” get. Why is American medical care 47th in the world ? Why are so many babies dying? Why are all these people showing up for demonstrations to keep us so low down on the ladder of health care compared to the rest of the world? These people who are transrfixed with the Republican “message” are not informed with the truth. They don’t realise that we are so far down on the scale of medical coverage with the rest of the world. I have to believe that most of them have never had to make a claim on their health insurance or they would know the truth, which is that all “for profit” insurance companies reward their agents for regecting the most claims. An actual financial price is given for doing this. They give their agents many premises with which to deny claims, including being treated for acne as teenagers, or for being treated for injuries incurred from domestic violence at ANY time in their life.

These circumstancs are deemed as “pre-existing” conditions that are used as a pretext for denying claims.

While insurance claims agents are rewarded for denyiing claims, we will always be victims of the insurance industry.

Since the overwhelming majortity elected President Obama and a Democratic majority in Congress, they could push through any legislation they wish. The fact that President Obama would like to have a bi-partisan resulation to some of the most important problems before us is only another indication of his willingness to makee a bi-partisan agreement to these problems.

After Congressman Joe Wilson commited his unforgivable act of disrespect to our President, it’s been made clear that the South Carolina delagation will never recgnse the United States of America.

Respectfully, provided they aren’t armed vigilante groups running around operating totally outside of the boundaries of law enforcement, I’m sure the SPLC and many Americans could probably support a more effective immigration policy with tighter controls provided it’s based on law and reality.

No one wants open borders, but neither Democrats or Republicans in Congress seem to have budget increases for Border Patrols high on their priority lists.

As to amnesty, I don’t know the answer but the actual costs of identifying and deporting millions of illegal aliens from the US would be staggering. No way that nut is going to be cracked in this economy.

I agree that providing hospitalization, education and other services to illegal immigrants is a drain to state and local budgets – but is it reasonable to allow say, an orange grower in California to legally bring 200 workers in from Mexico to harvest a crop, but not allow one of them to get medical treatment if they get injured?

The govt needs to lead on immigration policy and reform but right now they aren’t – we’ll hear alot about it during the next election cycle as a hot-button issue but then they’ll turn back to the economy and the 2 wars we’re fighting overseas.

We need to pray for this country and all these hate groups who are trying to torch a fire of hate and disbelief in anyone who does not agree with them.

You are absolutely correct about racial profiling. The people who deny it have never experienced it and therefore claim it does not exist. Naturally, we know what race doesn’t get targeted for those profiling stops, don’t we?

It gets even worse — I don’t know if you live in the deep South, but here in Texas the death penalty is dealt out to black men faster than untreated syphilis from Tuskegee.

Back in 1942, they conned FDR into signing the order that allowed the Army to detain and deport 100,000 US Citizens of Japanese ancestry and put them into camps in the desert.

Their only crime was the color of their skin and the slant of their eyes. Eventually they were released because the US Supreme Court was going to rule against the government.

The nativist movement has been practicing racist terrorism in the US for over a century. Back before the Civil War, they were beating up on “Papists”, mostly ethnic white Catholics, and burning down their churches.

I am the only white person in my family and I’ve found that there’s good reason why the powers-that-be don’t want whites mixing intimately with others. When the double standards are explained away with lies like, “Oh, white folks have to deal with that too – it’s not just you being discriminated against because of your skin color,” any whites that are connected can prove that that is in fact a lie.

When my husband, one of the few darker skinned men in our area, borrows my car for a week and is stopped by the police three times in three separate towns for having tinted windows and people try to tell us it’s not because of his skin color (he’s a public official and very conservative in his manner and appearance) I can prove they are lying. I am white, not at all conservative in my manner or appearance and I have not been stopped once for those same tinted windows in over a year while driving that same car in those same towns. In fact, I was stopped once for not having put my registration stickers on my car yet and the cop who later stopped my husband did not say a word about my tinted windows, so so much for their claims that it’s not about skin color.

People here are saying FAIR is a hate group because it is, you need only glance at the organizations that support FAIR and the people they align themselves with.

Respectfully FAIR received more than $ 1 million in funding from the Pioneer Fund between 1982-1994. According to the New York Times the Pioneer Fund supported research by 20 scientists who spent more than 2 decades trying to find scientific proof that people of African descent are genetically inferior despite the fact that man’s origins began on the African continet.

Numerous newspapers including the NY Times and the Sunday Telegraph have labeled the Pioneer Fund as a neo-Nazi organization dedicated to eugenics and white supremacist beliefs among other things.

FAIR has also been linked with numerous white nationalist groups, so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

Are YOU hoping that if you verbally attack people who tell the truth about this organization built on the hatred of non-white people that people will forget that it’s a front for neo-Nazis and white supremacists?
