    How sad that he couldn’t have “renounced” White Supremacist Ideology before he killed those people. If he’s telling the truth, that is good. However, I don’t know how his recent renunciation oof those views will help him.

    Maybe the guy is responding to his correction appropriately and learning to fear other prisoners, especially minorities. However, it should be observed that fear of minority prisoners could exacerbate racism. Perhaps the way out of this penal “Catch 22″ is to realize that “punishment” of any kind is warped, and to understand that the basis of this thinking lies in racism and social class. I’ve long wondered about Bonnie and Clyde and what they might have been like if they hadn’t been born west Dallas “white trash” before the hope of social security. It’s amazing to me that this doomed couple robbed a familiar gas station only a few city blocks from this writing.
