    Wow. If we are to believe some of these posts, we wouldn’t blame the murderer, but the victim. She was found by the murderer while she was walking in a public park in Phoenix, which was in a neglected and depressed area.
    Therefore, she must have been guilty of something or other that was really horrible and therefore she deserved to be immediately executed.

    WTF??? All they can say is that there were “racial overtones”??? The woman is shot to death for being seen with a black man, fer Chrisake!!! What are they, the Keystone Cops???

    Thanks for letting me know, SPLC, never to go to Phoenix because I’m in a biracial marriage and we might get shot and the police won’t give a s**t!

    This World will never seem to amaze me. I think at times we would be better off if we went back to the Rules Of the Old West, i think it would be better for all, in regards to the help that the police provide, Protect your Own at ALL Cost.

    Jane, you are sadly living with rose coloured glasses. The Rules of the Old West, while perhaps logical in some regards also included things like laws that basically said if you could find six people who agreed with you that a man needed killing, you had the right to kill him.

    I live in a predominately gay neighbourhood and when Prop 8 was on the ballot there were idiots driving through the neighbourhood smashing the windows of all the cars that had “No on Prop 8″ signs in front of the house. With the old west laws, these poor folks would have lost so much more than their car windows that night.

    The loss of a life is not a trivial thing and while I do believe I have the right to shoot an intruder in my home, I don’t believe we have evolved as a race enough to let the idiots who smash windows in the dark carry guns.
