Last month, David Marucci was convicted of disorderly conduct, accused of cursing and using racial slurs over the prospect of African Americans buying the house next door to his. Next month, Marucci stands a good chance of being elected to the Bristol Borough Council as a Democrat.

    The part that surprise’s me is that people are still surprised when people’s racism comes out. I think most people white hate Black people. If you don’t think so move next to one.

    Some whites hate blacks. Some blacks hate whites. But it is not fair to say that most people hate other races. For the record, a black family just moved next door to my condo. And a black family has moved into our complex right across the street. Who cares who lives by me as long as they are decent people and both appear to be fine (maybe a little nicer than a couple of whites around here). Tyrone, would my white face be welcome next door to you???

    In the interest of fulfillng the Presidents wishes that we all engage in a Conversation about race, and that means that whites have a say, I can understand why he may not want a black to live next to him.

    In my own personal experience, a decent black family (man and wife) can move next to you, and that in istself is OK. What is a problem is if they came from a less desirable neighborhood in an effot to raise themselves, those left behind visit them, and are still resentful of whites and the result in some cases is that they commit crimes against whites.

    Usually it is their children and/or their children who commit the crimes against their white neighbors. Lots more to this subject.

    Everyone does themselves a disservice when their judgments are based on a group, rather than individually.
