Thankfulness that a person does not have to struggle as one’s neighbor might, it may be a glory to one’s understanding of the Love of The Word, that COMPASSION & caring rule one’s interaction….
rather than chastise those who in one’s eye are sinful.
Looking deeper into one’s own shortcomings allows us to cherish the gifts of insight & seek to better oneself in the eyes of that which has been bestowed so graciously.
I am glad we all do not think alike nor see the same world, for it opens vistas that allow us to practice what we preach.

However Judgment is not the same as choice in how one lives their life. I choose not to hate but I have the choice not to embrace those who do. We were made with eyes & ears that see & hear differences; thank God.
If such a situation came to pass I would hope that I would save the life of even those who hate me because I have a bit more melanin in my skin.
Indeed, I think I would save him or her but that doesn’t mean I have to respect their way of life – nor demand they think as I do. My deeds should speak much louder than my perspectives.

For your information, the ACLU’s mission is to defend the First Amendment from ANYONE who would abuse it.

The ACLU has actually defended Christian Fundamentalist kids in their right to pray in schools and other activities.

You see, the First Amendment just says that government officials, like schoolteachers, cannot lead prayers. It does not prohibit kids saying prayers at lunch or between classes or at the flagpole before school. In fact, it guarantees that right.
