Whenever a site like this directs me to a newspaper article, I pay particular attention the comments on it. (I know they aren’t ‘typical’ but they give some feel of the community attitudes.) What it scariest about this was that except for two violent ‘kill him’ reactions that I can only hope were the work of trolls, every letter defended Black and his position, with a couple of prime examples of classic anti-Semitism thrown in.

‘fuz’ is an apt description for this comment. Ignoring the history of racism and homophobia in teenaged males — what percentage of gay bashers fir the mold, for example — if you read the actual article you’d find the following:
“While Black’s dispute with the GOP has centered on party rules and procedures, it has attracted larger attention because he’s the son of former Grand Wizard Don Black and a close associate of former Klan leader David Duke.
Black has also engineered radio broadcasts for his father’s “White Pride World Wide” Internet site and spoke at a 2008 conference promoting “the rights and heritage of European Americans.”
Not a pure young innocent and naive boy, is he?

There may be questionable agenda’s on Black’s future however there seems to be more attention due to the fact that this is a Republican instead of a son of a KKK member. Wasn’t Senator Byrd a card carrying member of the KKK? Didn’t Al Gore’s father, Senator Al Gore Sr, lead a filibuster to stop the Civil Rights Act in 1964?
Doing what you believe in doesn’t constitute HATE! To many of the readers of this site, just having discourse with someones opinion means HATE. How about some honesty here and stick to the facts. Keep an eye on this guy but not because he is a Republican.

I love it when the Republican party gets embarrassed by their own racist base.
Derek Black IS the GOP. He’s more Republican than their party chair Steele is.
And you should see what fellow Republicans are calling Steele, after he called for reform in the GOP. The “N” word wasn’t the worst of it. They’re about ready to lynch their own party chair.
So much for the Party of Lincoon. It’s now Derek Black’s party. Sieg Heil !!

Oops, typo. Party of Lincoln. Please disregard my error.
