NOTE the word “Jesus Christ” so they obviously do believe in him. And I know that they do, since the first thing they asked me when I began classes, is “What do you know about Jesus?” And I had been a Christian for 30 yrs, so I knew a lot, & they agreed with ALL of it. At all classes and services at their church, we read both from the Book of Mormon, and ALSO the typical Bible used by most Protestant churches. (King James Version).

It could be classified as a cult, if that means that they have a few unique ideas, different from most Protestant churches. I never heard about any weird gods, as such, but I only took classes for a month or so. They believe in many mainstream ideas, but also believe their leader has powers of prophesy, & that they must find & “baptize” all their dead relatives from many generations ago. Also they believe you should never drink coffee or tea, besides not drinking alcohol. You must attend church 3 hrs a week on Sunday, & if you ever miss it, you’d better have a good excuse since they will come looking for you. But the people I met there seemed like fine citizens, & they also do charity work, & often appear a lot like the Quakers & Puritans: some of the earliest churches in America.

Unofficially, some churches (ie) in Utah practice polygamy under the radar, but most churches “prohibit” it in practice.
You are required to “tithe” which means to donate 10% of your income to the church. But if you got into financial bad straits, & needed something, often the church will provide it for you. Like a family, they seem to help each other.

You may be requested to go on a “mission” as a family, that may uproot your jobs, your home & your kids school, but most of them meekly do their bidding. Women are accepted as equals in some ways, like they can get up & give a sermon, take charge of a meeting, teach classes.
There is a lot of good in the Mormon Church, as well as a few drawbacks. Their hierarchy seems to be Republican.

Glenn Beck is a complete total idiot who has no honor, does not support America’s troops and would not know the first thing about restoring honor to the USA. On this idiots radio show and Fox Network program he consistent demonstrates all the unstable behaviors of a dry alcoholic which include grandiosity, judgmentalism, intolerance, impulsivity, ADD and indecisiveness. Alongside that reality, Glenn Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, has no college degree, has no qualifications and he is definitely not a true conservative. But then, what can anyone expect from someone who can’t find anything filthier than their own personal reflection. Since people like Beck cannot survive on the basis of any personal merits, they survive by putting others down with lies and half truths in order to feel good about themselves.

The truth about Beck is that he a dry mormon alcoholic who never got the counseling required for alcoholics. To further complicate things and confuse people, Beck flippantly throws around Christian terms like “God”, “Jesus”,”Holy Spirit” as well as voices of other so called “Spirit Powers” on his radio talk show. Beck is a mormon in active standing with the mormon church and is not a Christian. Mormonism teaches many gods, that the god of the earth was once a man who attained godhood status, there is no trinity, the cross of Christ means nothing and that Jesus Christ and Satan were brothers. They have some very twisted ideas that do not come from the Christian Bible or Christian doctrines and they are laughing all the way to the bank with each temple they build.

Because Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, he is the perfect abortion poster child for Fox Network. The people who love what Beck says are no different than the impressionable sheep who loved every speech made by Adolph Hitler in his early years when he brought Germany into an era of economic prosperity These same sheep also blindly followed Hitler into one of the darkest chapters of world history. Beck and the Fox Network both cater to the same lowest common denominator of demagoguery.

Someone should have asked Beck which of the many mormon gods he kept talking about during his argument with himself on Saturday on the square in DC. Like a typical dry alcoholic, Beck even lied on national television when he spoke about holding a document signed by George Washington. That event never took Place. Unfortunately, people who love being led around by the nose do not realize that Beck is talking about a different god than that of Christianity, Judaism or Islam. Beck has been a product of mormon cultism from the day he started doing a radio talk show as an opinion pusher. This idiot never even went to college, has no clue what is really in the US Constitution or what the founding fathers really believed and intended. You don’t have to have a degree in psychology to see that Beck exhibits all the signs of a dry alcoholic. The only reason this unstable impressionable idiot fell into mormonism was because the woman he wanted to have sex with would not do so unless they got first got married and joined a church. From that point, they joined the mormon cult where Beck’s unstable mind went even further out into left field through mixing Catholicism with mormonism. I won’t try and give you links to the massive scientific evidence because simple common sense shows that, ironically, the Bushies were neither smart enough nor stupid enough to pull this one off.

Let’s start with the ‘not stupid enough’ part. The whole ‘motive’ for the conspiracy was to seize the resources of Iraq, or to attack Iraq for some other reason. So the Bush plotters create this massive hoax, get the whole world behind them in sympathy, and then frame…

Afghanistan (not even in the Middle East) and Saudi Arabia (whose closeness to the Bush family is also well-known).

In fact, what caused the loss of support for the Bush Administration’s foreign policy was when they tried to move the war to Iraq, when there was no evidence that Saddam had anything to do with 9/11.

I’d also point out that no one in the region had any particular liking for Saddam, as shown by the universal support for the First Guf War. (Muslims in particular didn’t like a secular, quasi-Socialist givernment like the Baathists. It was, again, only after the attack on Afghanistan that Sadam could play the ‘Muslima are being attacked by the New Crusaders’ card.) And, btw, Iraq is a lot easier to attack than Afghanistan, and wouldn’t have needed the hardly certain support of a Pakistan.

And the other point is simple. The hallmark of the Bush Administration was corrupt incompetence — ask any resident of Louisiana after Katrina. They fouled up almost everything they tried. They made gthemselves so unpopular that we forget that both parties were runnig against them by 2008. And yet these bumblers had the incredible skill to pull off the greatest conspiracy, the greatest fraud in human history?

This is a far cry from orchestrating the attacks, but given Bush’s sudden rebirth from a non-leader into a leader after 9-11, don’t you think there was some heavy handed information supression going on related to these events, if for no other reason than to empower Bush politically and make it possible to achieve his objectives in Iraq? He as much as told some senators he planned to take Saddam Hussein down with or without a terror connection.

Paul Wolfowitz had been urging the US to secure resources in the Middle East since 1981. There does appear to be more to this story, but that doesn’t necessarily make it a conspiracy. It may simply have been protocol for a national security crisis.

I am however disturbed to be classified with Nazis and KKKers for believing that further investigation into the backstory of the events of 911 is warranted as I believe currently that neither side has for example presented a case strong enough to be heard in a court of law. Notice too that Osama Bib Laden is *not* on the FBIs most wanted list for complicity in 911 but for other horrendous crimes as they too do not see enough evidence connecting him with to 911 to warrant that charge.

Everything you say about the Bush administration’s secrecy is more or less correct- but to believe in complicity in the event I need to see actual evidence. Possibility is not probability, and occam’s razor suggests that staging 9-11 would not only be too much work, but far too much risk.

Does this mean all conspiracy theories are correct? Of course not we must be very vigilant in confronting Holocaust deniers, global warming deniers, the more outlandish of 911 truths claims like no airplane hit the Pentagon, etc.

OTOH claiming something is a conspiracy ought not to automatically close off all questioning as this article seems to suggest, to do do so is to give the government unwarranted power to close off investigations into its sometimes illegitimate activities that are sometimes planned behind closed doors. Surely no one here would deny for example that the Bush administration engaged in excessive secrecy? What is excessive secrecy combined with meetings but a conspiracy? It is known for example the KKK collaborated with southern Sheriffs to injure and kill civil rights activists in the late 50s and early 60s. Guess what that is a conspiracy, surely that sort of conspiracy is one you want to bring to light?
