I live in Savannah GA and I plan on attending to make a non violent presence there opposing the KKK. If anyone would like to meet up with me please contacted me at dougtmorse@gmail.com. I’m leaving from Savannah early Saturday morning and may have room for one person in my car if you need a ride.

It’s telling that the article is so small and mostly dismissive. Also that the turnout is expected to be so small.

I really meant to follow up on this early. There was a turnout that exceeded what I expected. What I didn’t expect and was VERY disappointed by is that a clear 75% of the turnout was in SUPPORT of the klan! The NAACP and another local group had a paltry 20-30 people at peak. I reall don’t believe in boycotting these things and was also disappointed thet the SPLC sent me a message through Facebook trying to convince me not to go. In small towns in Georgia the loudest voice often wins. And if the only voice is that of oppression it will always be loudest.
