I’ll tell you Geo. What people have, and still have, the majority of power in the US. They control the government, and most of the wealth. Statistical studies still how bias in favor of whites(including Jews) in housing, employment, policing, etc.

The thing is, “European Americans”(who are actually not European culturally), HAVE “representation” as you say. Does anyone suggest that Irish, Slavic, German, etc. clubs, organizations, or study groups are racist or hateful? No, they don’t. The problem is this idea of “white”, because “white” is historically bound to oppression and discrimination.

So….FAIL!

Quick question….what is inherently wrong with white people of European descent engaging in a group that serves to protect and or preserve their collective interests? Doesn’t the SPLC support the likes of the NAACP, La Raza , AIPAC ( along with NUMEROUS other jewish interest groups)? Seriously, folks and fellow commenters, it’s becoming glaringly obvious that an organization that seeks to uphold the rights of European Americans is certainly necessary. White Americans deserve representation. Recognize the double standards please.

Two things. First Mason Green. Not sure why someone from the Jewish community or any other minority community would throw their support behind the Tanton Network. You would have to ask them about their personal motivation. However it would not be the first time that minorities have sided with bigots.

Blacks fought on the side of the South during the Civil War. This does not justify the white supremacy of the South. Neither does having minority (inluding folks from the Jewish community) members as part of the Tanton Network protect them from their history of racism and bigotry.

Second . . . from my understanding Dan Stein is not Jewish. Though again. I don’t find his religious/cultural background relevant to this great blog by SPLC.

Well Mason, as long as people identify themselves as conservatives, they’ll go to any depth to push their adopted agenda. That’s why there are black people like Jesse Lee Peterson and jewish folks like Dan Stein; for power—or any kind of recognition, possibly coming from a very deep self hatred—some people are willing to sell their integrity on the cheap.

Is Stein Jewish? If so, why does he work for Tanton, given that Tanton is an anti-Semite who thinks Jews run the country (as the article makes clear)?
