Hate Groups Donate to Arizona Law’s Defense

    Share Email

This morning, the white supremacist political party American Third Position (A3P) proudly announced its donation to the fund recently established by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer to defend that state’s controversial new immigration law. “The American Third Position has just made a triple-digit donation to Arizona’s Border Security and Immigration Legal Defense Fund,” the group announced in an E-mail alert. In describing its own mission, A3P says it “exists to represent the political interests of White Americans.”

The statute that Brewer signed into law in April, commonly known as SB 1070, is a harsh anti-immigration ordinance that would make the failure of non-citizens to carry immigration documents a crime and that obligates police to check the immigration status of those people they come into lawful contact with if there is “reasonable suspicion” that they are undocumented immigrants. Last week, the Department of Justice announced that it would sue Arizona to block the law, saying it would encourage illegal racial profiling and also interfere with federal control over immigration policy. The new defense fund, which will help cover the state’s legal fees in the DOJ lawsuit, already has collected nearly $1 million, according to Brewer’s Facebook page.

Brewer claims SB 1070 will not target persons based on their skin color. But A3P begs to differ, seeing SB 1070 as a tool for the reinstatement of white political control. “We support all constructive endeavors by private citizens, businesses, local governments — or in this case a sovereign state — to stem and reverse the browning of America,” the A3P’s E-mail said. “Arizona’s enforcement statute represents the best current opportunity to reduce [brown-skinned immigration]. From its inception, A3P has been disseminating the nightmarish facts regarding the financial, social and demographic consequences of the unprecedented invasion from the south.”

The defense fund is also being pushed on Stormfront.org, the largest and oldest white nationalist forum on the Web. Under the headline “Jan Brewer Sets Up SB1070 Defense Fund,” “Adolf Hitlist” admonishes his fellow extremists, “Money where your mouth is time!”

Adolf’s fellow forum users have responded enthusiastically to his call for donations. “I’m going to send them 50 fat bucks,” writes “Mishko Novosel.” “[T]his might encourage Arizona to leave the Union, and this is why I’ll back them because something good will come of this.” “Axeman” celebrated the fund’s rapid increase: “Wow! At 1:30pm yesterday, AZ’s defense fund was roughly $163k, at 9am this morning it was $363k. Keep it up!” “KuKluxKlan—SoCal” chimed in with, “Donated.”

It’s not surprising that these racists and extremists are enthusiastic about SB 1070. After all, the law originated with the hate group Federation for American Immigration Reform, whose founder John Tanton has written, “I’ve come to the point of view that for European-American society and culture to persist requires a European-American majority, and a clear one at that.” That is exactly what A3P believes.

The only real Americans are those descended from native Americans because they were here first. Therefore if any one should be deported it should be these bigots.

The A3P party only made a _triple_-digit donation to Brewer’s defense fund? Reading that made me chuckle a bit. In the world of politics, triple-digit sums are practically chicken feed these days; they’re the kind of donation you’d expect to get from a middle-class _individual_, not an entire party! Just goes to show you how marginal and weak this party is, despite the fact that it claims to represent a “majority”.

Wonder how many members, or how big a budget, that party actually has? Probably very small numbers, since I haven’t seen _any_ radio or TV ads from them yet. Who do they think they’re fooling?

Did Arizona accept this donation, racism is a crime, the FBI is, I’m sure, as usual, keeping an eye on race groups. If Gov Brewer accepted this donation, she should be impeached.

Tanton needs to realize that there is no such thing as “European-American” society. Perhaps a trip to Europe would teach him that.

Yeah Paen, except for the fact that the so-called “Native” Americans did not evolve here but navigated to the Americas themselves as well.

Hey Lee, another history lesson for you- Europeans migrated into Europe. So I guess by your logic you can’t whine about the “Muslim” hordes anymore(which makes sense seeing as how Muslims have been a part of European culture for centuries).

Given the Tea Party stance on immigration — hopefully this is not too off topic.

But did anyone else see this? A billboard put out by the Tea Party showing Obama alongside Hitler and Lenin. Not that this kind of vandalism of our President’s good name is particularly new, but it irks me to see the same ignorance about Hitler as a “left wing” socialist.

I suppose Tanton doesn’t see the irony in “European-Americans” being the oppressors? Not long ago, European immigrants to this country were the oppressed. Just look at the history of the Irish, Italians, Germans, etc. People never learn. Too bad he and others like him didn’t take to heart the experiences of their own ancestors.

Have a look at the Johnson County war in Wyoming ca. 1892.

Small ranchers and immigrants warred on by wealthy ranchers and hired guns.

      There was a death list.

After the fighting many of the hired guns were arrested, but no action was ever taken against the wealthy.

Today in Utah there is a list of 1300 supposedly illegal immigrants, some of whom have immediately provided documentation.

It’s a short trip from an accusatory list to a death list.

If only the morons at A3P realized that there was a time when the dominant Anglo-Saxon population spoke about Irish, Italians, and Slavs the same way people speak about Mexicans today. Being “white” meant little back then. In fact the geniuses at A3P probably have no idea that the 1924 immigration laws they love so much also nearly halted all immigration from Southern and Eastern Europe as well.

They are also most likely not aware of how difficult the current system is for legal immigration.

Just off the top, I can think of almost half a dozen times Arizona has voted something into law, which went NO WHERE.
This is not surprising since most of those laws had Federal laws which superseded them. And Federal law generally always wins out where state law countermands.
Although the proposed legislation is divisive & yet has some support, it will not stand.

Lee the Indians came here at least 10,000 years ago when there was the Americas were uninhabited, unlike our ancestors who stole the land.

Why would Arizona leave the Union? If they are wanting to function like a separate country, won’t we need to build a fence completely around them and make them go through all the Customs hoops to leave or re enter the place?

Now that would be fun to watch though, wouldn’t it?

    16. Kate De Braose said,

      on July 15th, 2010 at 2:35 pm

But, Lee, maybe the reverse is true. Perhaps life arose in the Americas and then spread out to everywhere else? We haven’t proved the reverse until we have finished all research that is possible, in my opinion.

Even if some aboriginal American inhabitants had Caucasiod type features(which does not necessarily mean they look like “white people” as most Americans think of the term), it proves absolutely nothing. The idea that a modern day American of European descent has something in common with anyone over 10,000 years old in any meaningful sense is idiotic. There are far more “whiter” looking people among the Arabs and of course there are the Aryan Tajiks and other Persians of Central Asia, as well as the Kurds- yet I don’t think we’ll see Lee talking about brotherhood with any of them.

This is funny. As a state, Arizona is pretty much bankrupt! So, I imagine that Brewer would accept funding from Al Quaeda or the Taliban along with the KKK and any other nut job group willing to donate.

This is what comes of giving in to right-wing fear and paranoia. And what comes of allowing fear-mongering and a blatant disregard for the facts to stand in the way of our Constitutional rights.

I recently called out Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (AR-8) for criticizing the DOJ’s lawsuit to block SB 1070 due to her bald-faced political opportunism in propagating the myth that crime has skyrocketed due to illegal immigration, appealing to white, conservative voters while ignoring the Constitutional rights of an entire segment of the population.

SB1070 is an embarrassment to our State. Racists are an embarrassment to our Country. I urge the Federal Government to end ALL funding to the State of Arizona until this unConstitutional law is repealed.

Just curious How many from Racist Nation of Islam give money to this website or Congress members of the “Congressional Black caucus?” I think racism is one of the worst things to be associated with outside of murder, so why do the Extreme Left trade in it as much as the right? I do notice many left blogs give them a pass. The name itself implies race first – NAACP. Nation of Islam , Black Panthers, La Raza, etc. there are several, yet your site says little about their outright racism, Why? The left are hypocrites just like most humans on the planet!

    24. Ruslan Amirkhanov said,

      on July 27th, 2010 at 9:06 am

TJ, there is far more racism on the right. The new Black Panthers are not a left-wing organization, nor are they influential. La Raza doesn’t mean what you think it means(good luck finding La Raza attacks and crimes on par with the KKK or other right-wing groups), and the NAACP is a benign organization. The Nation of Islam has been criticized routinely by the SPLC and other organizations, but it has very little influence these days anyway.

So you are flat out wrong, TJ. Thanks for playing.

I have always been against racism and bigotry. I do regret to say that people in this country need to wake up and realize the difference between illegal immigration and a foreign invasion. Twenty mexicans coming over every once in a while packed in a van.. illegal immigration. Coming across our boarders daily by the hundreds and by thousands. That is a foreign invasion.
Americans need to stop worrying about who celebrities are boinking and look up at what is going on around them.

    26. Vashra said,

      on September 3rd, 2010 at 7:21 am

The only way to really be against racism is to be against race.

I was working on an archaeological dig in Washington state, using forensic anthropology to re-create the features on a skull we’d removed (with permission) from a Native American burial ground in the Northern-most part of the state. These graves are some of the oldest native grave sites in North America.

To our shock, the computer software used developed a male face that was pretty clearly … Caucasoid. The karyotype (which was then the best DNA test available) on the skull *confirmed* the software’s findings.

WE (the scientists) were excited. Here was a possible tie between native peoples here and the ancient Siberian tribes, etc. Then our findings were reported to the tribal leaders on the reservation.

And we were politely asked to leave the site. Shortly afterward we were informed that our funding for the dig had been redacted.

The sick irony is that the only thing our finding proved was that the genetic makeup of *some* of those who first crossed in the north was a bit different than assumed. It did nothing to invalidate any claim of any native people, since we’d karyotypes of other graves just as old that were clearly Mongoloid. It may have even granted support to the legends of some Native American groups who *do* state that there were other people here when their own groups arrived.

But it was stifled, proving to me that “who is here first” is a damn silly argument. Some think Adam and Eve were “here first” – let’s quit fighting amongst ourselves and give the whole bloody planet “back” to Israel.

I am not actually surprised at all these differing opinions about who was here first. I am surprised that anyone would care to claim it means anything related to personal worthiness.

None of us is responsible for our own existence, and we cannot seriously believe it means anything important to the rest of the world.

Considering all the greed associated with the early explorers and our own continual wars on everything and everyone, we have a lot of crimes to justify in the here and now. We can start first by criticising our own lack of concern toward neighbors.

    29. Yolie said,

      on September 25th, 2011 at 10:06 pm

Anti-immigration laws? I don’t think so! They are nothing than RACIAL laws! Authorities are not going to stop Caucasians and ask for immigration papers, are they? Better yet, the police will not even bother to stop caucasians (unless they have committed a traffic violation or have “probable cause” for some other crime)and why do you think that is? Because they’re white! Aren’t there illegal aliens who are caucasian? Sure there are! Are all brown-skinned people illegal aliens? No! In fact, many of them don’t even speak any language other than English! Oh…but wait….maybe only those who look Mexican will be stopped. Well, Mexicans are a mixed race, just like many other ethnic groups. They have them really white, tall, blond, and blue eyes and they have them tanned and green/hazel eyes, and then they also have them medium dark and really dark, some are even as black as Africans.
The SB 1070 is just another “legal” excuse racists cooked up to carry out their unconstitutional racial profiling and unlawful discrimination against other non-white “races”.

White supremacy is what this is all about. Blacks (I know, most prefer to be called “Afro-American”, but to my defense for using black instead of that is because not all Africans are Black and not all Blacks in the US come directly from Africa) get stopped because “they fit some profile”, Middle-Eastern (and I’m not just talking about Muslims) people get pulled over because they fit “some other (terrorist) profile” or just because they look like Hispanics, and brown-looking people will be stopped because they fit yet another profile…yeah, the “Mexican illegal immigrant” profile. If that’s not racial profiling and flat out discrimination against certain “races”, then what is?

Wait…this is for the welfare of society? Oh…ok…prejudism, racial profiling, and discrimination is ok when trying to protect our citizens?…Then allow me to be racist as well….maybe caucasians should be stopped as much too…who knows maybe you’ll find some child pornography, drugs, or some other crazy stuff in their cars, PDA’s, laptops, and any other fancy electronic toys! Do it for the welfare of the children all over the world! Who knows, you may even get lucky and catch a serial killer!

By the way…the color of my skin is white (though I’m not Caucasian or European), but I’m against racial profiling and discrimination. I think all races have good and bad in them, even genetically speaking and one race is not better than the other. We shouldn’t be debating about one human race taking over another human race, we should be more concerned with other kind of aliens invading us, humans and taking over our planet…lol!
