I have two problems with this proposed activity.
First, it would be grossly offensive to the many, many loyal Americans who happen to be of the Muslim faith. It would constitute an insult which they have done nothing to deserve. In some cases, it might even make some of them question WHY they are being so loyal to a country which seems to hate them. I think we all know where THAT might lead.
Second, think of the possible retaliation against our people anywhere around the world.
This is a thoroughly BAD IDEA. We need to find some way to legally prevent it.

First it was the burning of Ameican Flag. Who was offended. Than some text books which did not teach evolution. Who was offended. Then the Supreme Court said this is protected by Freedom of Speech. Who was offended. Than came the Bibles. Who was offended. Now it is the Quran (Koran). Now someone is offended. When is Freedom of Speech not going to be protected. Go back to the Supreme Court and have it define Free Speech.

They burned my flag that I served and would die for
And they said it was their right.
They burned my Bible that freed my soul
And they said it was their right.
I burn the koran of the enemy that attacked my home
And they said I may hurt my a fellow man’s feelings.
Where were you when I cried for my flag?
Where were you when I was bleeding for my country?
You were no where, and now you have no right to stop my freedom of speech regarding those who kill my American Brothers.

You who cried for you flag
You who love your bible
You who adore your freedom of speech
Just how do you think the people who love the Koran
Who love to worship God
Who love and will fight for our country
Just look at the spit of hypocrisy you put in their face.

Flag burning is protected political speech, however offensive it may be to some. This self-aggrandizing idiocy of burning Qurans is beyond offensive. Even though it may enjoy First Amendment protection, I believe that it is treasonous, as it will give aid and comfort to the declared enemy of the United States, al Qaeda. Clearly many in the American “religious” right conflate al Qaeda with Islam and want to revisit the Crusades. I refer to these people as “Talibangelists,” and I believe they must be stopped. Al Qaeda could not create a better recruiting tool for themselves than the hate-mongering event that is about to take place in Gainesville.

“They” must be right. Go ahead–burn baby burn!

Take heart, I’m burning them for all the bad muslims just like when they burn the flag and Bible they burn them for the bad Americans. Good Americans should not be offended because it’s a freedom of speech issue and good Muslims should not be offended for the same reason. Now stand back, because it’s going to get hot because I’m going to make a statement.

People need to understand this dangerous group called the Christian Right, evangelicals, fundamentalists, etc. They are a danger to our freedom, and they are heavily financed with our tax dollars. They support a nation under 10 Commandment law. Think about that. There is an excellent book I urge everyone to read. Chris Hedges is the author of “American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America.” If you do not come from an evangelical upbringing, you do not understand this grave threat.
