    I don’t know why…it’s a waste of money. Let his tatoos show, maybe it will help convict him. Put the money to good use elsewhere.

    Although it’s expensive I think it helps in giving him a fair trial. It shows the U.S. commitment to the rule of law and impartiality, I can appreciate that.

    What? Were those tattoos put on him by force? If not leave them alone, he was the one who chose to identify himself this way, it is part of who he is albeit however distasteful a person he may be.

    Suppose a defendant has a scar that might make the jury prejudiced against them – will the court pay to cover it up? Will plain women be given makeovers at court expense?

    Or is this kind of justice available only to people who commit right-wing hate crimes?
