“Tom Laughlin told the newspaper. ‘I filed those documents without really reading them. All I wanted to do was make a political statement about the way things are going in this country. I didn’t want to be involved in any kind of extremist movement.’”

How exactly did a guy this stupid get to be a detective in the first place? My initial thought was “Well, it is Florida”, but I’ve got family down there, so I don’t really want to in insult the entire state — tempting as it is.

This sort of thinking…or lack of it….is fairly common if not typical here in Florida and the earlier comment hits the nail on the head. This state is rife with closet extremists, hate groups and a pervasive “intentional ignorance” way of doing just about everything. If you wonder about how he made detective, it’s simple…you should see the others who didn’t!

This “sovereign citizenship” crap is becoming more popular with those in society (basically criminals) who no longer want to take responsibility or be held accountable for their actions. Just claim that the laws, the bills, the responsibility no longer applies to you and you can “do what you want.” Killing citizens..Law Enforcement Officers, kids.. whats next?? Time to crack down on these nuts and put them in their place..or maybe we can send them all to Canada.
