“Pastor” Pete Peters has had meetings at the Arden Community Hall, about 5 miles from where Kevin Harpham lives, for about 3 years now and on average, about 80 – 120 people have faithfully attended, every three months. Look up “Pastor” Pete Peters on the Internet and you will find that he is one of the most influential “preachers” nationally on the Christian Identity circuit..it appears that his flock is growing in Stevens County and maybe another one got caught in the barbed wire..and the rest of the flock is watching from that slippery slope??

Right or left radicals are just wrong. I’m sure that many folks outrage to this is just for that reason alone. The individual is responsible and an emotional outcry should be “what can I do to help?” To blame others just puts us all in the extremist playground of stupidity with nothing ever getting done. Just a question- was Harry Reid close by?– Or Sarah Palin. Tea Party Card? Or someone from Arizona? Given enough time I’m sure we will find someone to blame besides the person who did it.

Ruslan, there still are National Alliance members around, but very, very few. Gliebe is still the group’s chairman, but he doesn’t live at the compound in West Virginia and it seems as though the major activity the NA engages in is posting on their websites.

This has been one of the most under-reported stories in the media and should have been seen as a terrorist act. I thank you for your continued good work and watchful eye on hate groups. It’s like battling the Hydra – we can’t ever give up. I heard of this story on Rachel Maddow and she has kept up with it as time permitted. They have some information but the Madison WI et. al. story is keeping the broadcast entity extremely busy. Glad to know this guy is not longer on the loose.

I live in Spokane and there are many veterans here including myself that are not extremists. Stevens county is just north of us and I would suggest that its due more to high unemployment than being ex military.

Thanks bonncaruso! The tea party here doesn’t have cards (at least the one and only one I attended last summer). They were so pre-occupied with Glenn Beck’s rhetoric, it made me sick to think they actually believed Beck’s lies and rants. I’m in a small town, so some already knew I wasn’t a Republican. However, the spokesperson gave us the benefit of the doubt, “maybe they have come to hear the truth”.
