Burnings are happening all over the place, and the people the religious right hate are the targets.
Darla Winn had part of her home torched and her pets murdered because she wanted non-sectarian prayers at the city counsel meetings.

There have been several gay couples burned out in this area. Most of the burnings never hit the news or are investigated (according to gay friends). I also hear of beatings and hateful language. Two of my friends were driven from this county by the hate they experienced.
Our own experiences? My electronics workshop was torched (never investigated), we’ve had racist hate graffiti spraypainted in front of our mailbox, caught people sneaking onto our property (who admitted they were there for religious reasons), members of my family have been threatened – and it’s tied to my being liberal in a religious right area. I’ve complained and complained, and only recently got a report filed with the Sheriff’s office with the graffiti incident – done VERY reluctantly. Everything else was under the heading of “paranoid” or “kid’s pranks”.

There are many hateful and wrong things done under the banner of the “religious right” and Christianity. Christ did not preach or teach hate. He taught love, and love to ALL. If you are experiencing hate or other such actions by so called “christians”, then I am truly sorry and apologize on behalf of true Christians.
A few bad people, make every Christian look bad.
