Wow, according to Coe, blacks are a “retrograde species of humanity." What in the hell does that make white people? All whites came from black people, so if black people are retrograde--meaning moving or tending backward--and white folks lost their color...white people are even MORE backward. Need proof? Bigotry is nothing more or less a retrograde in intelligence. They hate their ancestors! Tsk, tsk.

Who invented the elevator? Who perfected blood transfusions? Who REALLY invented the cotton gin? Despite Edison's false statement, the filament for the light bulbs invented, as the other things mentioned by black people. Retrograde? Methinks not. In case you think that that is all that black people havel invented, try this list:

Biscuit Cutter A.P. Ashbourne, Super Soaker Lonnie Johnson, Folding Bed L.C. Bailey, Bicycle Frame Issac R. Johnson, Coin Changer James A. Bauer, Space Shuttle Retrieval Arm Wm. Harwell, Rotary Engine Andrew J. Beard,
Car Couple Andrew J. Beard Envelope Seal F.W. Leslie
Letter Box G.E. Becket, Laser Fuels Lester Lee, Stainless Steel Pads Alfred Benjamin, Pressure Cooker Maurice W. Lee, Torpedo Discharger H. Bradberry, Disposable Syringe Phil Brooks, Pencil Sharpener John L. Love, Home Security System Marie Brown, Fire Extinguisher Tom J. Marshal
Corn Planter Henry Blair Lock W.A. Martin and scores of other inventions, all by blacks.

A well-known lie said that white men's brains were bigger than black men's brains. What they did was fill a white skull with rice and a black man's skull with PING PONG BALLS, ergo the white man's brain could hold more rice, so they were more intelligent. I wonder how those liars could say that with a straight face. Oh, me? Am I black? Nope. I am a white person who is grateful for all that black people have done to make this a better world. Thank you, I appreciate you.

Who is REALLY retrograde? The bigots who think they are better than anyone else, Would you do the world a favor? Drop dead, you are not needed. You have not improved humanity, nobody needs bigots,

Buzzy Thompsom,
No thanks! I am voting for Pres. Obama.

Mr. Cain is anti-Muslim. And for sure he's being used as a political pond by the GOP - meaning they're at it again with their tricks, pit one black person against another black person, you know, like what they did with Michael Steele and Pres. Obama.

Don't have television anymore, but, saw the video of him at hurryupharry.org, and I'm not impressed. I've left the republican party for good, and regardless of who the GOP run as a candidate, as a means to try to get votes, it won't work. Besides, how will people believe the GOP will respect this black man if they won't respect the one we have now! Not only that, since race relations is at a very low point in this country, there's no way I would consider this candidate as a real candidate anyway. I believe this is being done to run him as a candidate in order to throw off the elections. Nice try though!

Buzzy Thompsom,
Is that the correct spelling of your last name? I've seen the spelling Thompson, but I have never seen Thompsom!

That's not a very nice thing to say - you regret he was ever born! Is that what someone told you? Did one of your parents or spouse(s) say that to you? Dude, that sounds like some serious hate. This truly sounds like serious hate when (I'm certain) you have never met him.

The question I'd really like answered, are you a christian?

"I’m a right wing zealot ,admittedly…. I don’t care where or when President Obama was born. I just regret the fact he was born. I could care less he has so called black blood. I’m just tired of everytime I disagree with him or anyone disagrees with him they are accused of being a racist"

That's interesting Buzz, because as I have said repeatedly, I am opposed to Obama like many other posters here, and I am admittedly white, yet nobody calls me a racist. So if that's what you are encountering maybe you should think about the content of your criticisms.

Attacks on Obama can sometimes be so radical or unfounded that people suspect latent racism, because one wonders why someone would believe every negative claim about Obama without any critical thinking, or why they cannot articulate their actual issues with Obama. Other times people are completely unaware of their racism; for example, have you ever heard people who get all upset about people saying Obama is the first black president, and they shout, "BUT HE'S HALF WHITE!!!" Honestly, anyone who sees Obama, not knowing who he is, would consider him to be black, yet when he succeeds, some people just HAVE to point out that he's "not all black"(something which could be attributed to something like 75% of black Americans).

@Ranger G
News reports on the firefight in Pakistan ultimately killing Bin Laden are everywhere and as you point out the stories are constantly changing. What is surprising is that you think this is a reflection on Obama and not the news media itself--which feels compelled to report on every rumor before ascertaining the facts.

Let's see here...the photo that dominated the media was Obama and crew watching the action "live" as it unfolded. Oops, well--maybe not. Turns out the video was blocked during the actual shooting. Wild firefight, OBL was engaged. Oops, well--maybe not. He was shot while resisting, but unarmed. But he WAS hiding behind one of his wives. Oops, well-maybe not: he wasn't hiding behind anyone. On and on it goes; the president is utterly clueless on how to handle these things and it showed, painfully, as one gaffe after another dominated the media...and continues to do so.

Well I'm hardly an Obama fan. I disagree with 99.9% of everything he and this administration stands for. But let's give credit where credit is due. Obama did good on the Usama assassination call. It was indeed a gutsy move that I didn’t see coming. And personally I could care less about seeing the body. He’s dead and that all that matters. Sure Obama could have publically given credit to the Bush administration for the policies GWB put in place that started the ball rolling. But when it’s all said and done, it’s only the last lap of the race that matters. To Obama’s credit he did invite Bush to be with him at the ground zero celebration, which Bush declined for whatever reason, I don’t know. So, kudos for Obama. I hope this will lead to him making more good decisions in the future.

" racist preacher say anything ugly in 20 years of attendance."

Dick, what did Obama's preacher say that was racist?

By the way, we're still waiting for your evidence that Obama is a "domestic" enemy.

To the aptly named "Dick,"

It's just killing you that you have to give credit and show some respect now, isn't it? Suck it up and be happy for your country. I for one am pleased that the last face Osama bin Laden saw was an American's.

Obama caused the birther issue? Oh come on now. Poeple need to get a life - a real one! As for the rest of the hogwash - I can't imagine where people get this stuff or why they think they have the right to tell this propaganda that is so obviously wrong. I do agree with the comments that this president can honestly say Mission Accomplished.

the absurd use of race and the absurd mudslinging in this article is sickening. I may agree with the basic message of the article but it's presentation proves the author is even more discrminatory than those openly being attacked.

As far as Osama bin Laden is concerned, President Obama can truthfully say "mission accomplished." Must be hard to take for all the conservatives and right wing crazies who blame him for every ill in the country but let President Bush's incompetence and Vice President Cheney's machinations go without criticism.

Dirk,
If "nothing can be believed coming out of the Obama Administration," then why do you believe that Bin Laden is dead? Settle down, take a nap, and you'll feel better. Really.

Nothing can be believed coming out of the Obama administration. He caused the "birther" industry simply by withholding his birth certificate. We still know nothing about his scholastic achievements and he repeatedly denied his ties to left-wing radicals during his campaign; including the absurd contention that he never heard his racist preacher say anything ugly in 20 years of attendance.

There is no doubt that a mission to take out Bin Laden was successful. Had it not been, no one would have heard about it. But this incompetent circus can't get its post action reports on the same page. I think this Seal Team ought to start looking for lawyers.

Off topic:
In fact some Republicans vote against their own bills in Congress after Democrats decide to support them.

“In 1995, for instance, Republicans proposed cutting $270 billion over seven years. In 1997, McConnell and McCain were among the Republicans voting for a Balanced Budget Act that cut Medicare by $115 billion over five years. And in his 2008 presidential campaign, McCain proposed combined Medicare and Medicaid cuts of $1.3 trillion over 10 years. Yet last year, as he neared a re-election campaign in a state full of retirees, McCain led the fight against the Democrats' plans to trim Medicare.”

I am not an Alex Jones-wannabe and I personally think Alex Jones and his followers are way out there. However, I think the administration should release photos of Osama Bin Laden's dead body. Wouldn't you guys and gals want to see it? It might anger the Muslim extremists, but the photos should still be shown to the world.

Actually Iludium, we can see easily that the memos are definitely fake. First of all, the only possible meaning of "CoC" would be "Chain of Command", which doesn't make sense in this context and is negated by using the pronoun "he" later. I think what they meant was C-in-C, meaning Commander and Chief(also supported by the reference to the Administration).

The military does not tell the C-in-C what they will do and then reject an order to abort. Disobeying a lawful order from one's superior is a crime according to UCMJ. You disobey an order from the president and you're going to be down the hall from Bradley Manning.

This is basically nothing more than a chain e-mail that your right-wing uncle or aunt sends you with the subject line "THIS IS A TRUE STORY!! HONEST!!! SWEAR TO GOD!"
It is clearly written in the tradition of right-wing crank fantasies. In this case, the theme is the super-masculine military men telling the weak, Muslim-loving(possibly Muslim) president that they are going to take out America's enemy. Said traitorous president doesn't want to do so, because he doesn't want to offend Bin Laden and instead wants to issue him a stern warning. But the badass SEALs prevail, and justice is done.

This is what goes on in the mind of many conservatives, who are in fact adult children.

How do we know the "memos" Pam Geller cited in "evidence" to her claims aren't really forgeries in the "Hitler Diaries" stylee, only now made all the more realistic enough to fool even police experts in forged documents thanks to the likes of Microsoft Word and OpenOffice?

JUST like Ms. COE, I feel that RANDOM capitalization and a LOT of !!!!!1!! is the BEST way TO explain ONE'S point in a CALM, convincing MANNER. Also, I had no idea "Misleading" and "Lying" were proper nouns. Scrabble just got a bit harder.

Seriously, what is up with the far-right and the shift key?
