When it comes to the real argument all you get is, “Well, um, uh…you’re racist!”

They cry “racist”, we hear “victory”.

First off, as you said ‘our money,’ if it’s our money then why are the teas complaining about and targeting social programs? If you have seniors out there yelling, “don’t touch my medicare and social security, then why are those programs being targeted for deep cuts?

If it’s our money, then why do the teas also have the NIMBY philosophy – meaning, the states want to release prisoners, cut fire/police/ambulance/teachers – but, again, ‘it’s our money’ but we lose these services while the teas demand that they don’t lose theirs, or they want us to pick up the tab with our money. The teas don’t want the homeless in their neighborhoods, neither do they want low-income housing in their neighborhoods. So, please, explain how this works – teas have tax revolt days and yell they are not paying for this and that, have non-profit organizations, pay less taxes than the poor due to loopholes, tax credits…and you are telling us it’s also your money?
The teas complain that they don’t want Muslims building mosques in this country – which is something I find interesting because one of the planned mosque in Tennessee an American white male lost this property to foreclosure. I guess what I’m saying is, we are losing our shirts and pants due to things beyond our control – no one is looking out for us. Someone who could possibly upgrade the property and put it to good use is being turned away if they don’t fit a certain profile.

While you’re at it, please explain the Keystone Tar Sands Pipeline – this will move more people off of their properties, and possibly poison water and land, all at the expense of, you’ve guessed it. Also, please explain how corporations are buying/sponsoring ads in national parks/public schools and saying ‘it is government speech?’

Did you protest when George Bush lowered taxes and invaded two countries at the same time?
And of course, you probably remember when Cheney said that “deficits don’t matter” to fiscal conservative Paul O’Neil, the Treasury Secretary who told Bush he couldn’t pay for two wars and cut taxes without sending the debt too high. BTW, Bush fired him for his conservative principles.

But from our last meeting it seems you don’t really engage in debate.

If the A3P does get on the ballot, they could definitely play the role of a spoiler, though who they would take more votes away from is anyone’s guess (their anti-immigration schtick is more in line with the GOP, their stance on enviromental issues is more like that of the Democrats, and their stances on a few other issues don’t seem to align with either party). I hope West Virginia voters see through the A3P’s attempts to portray it as a populist advocate for the “little guy”; the A3P shouldn’t be allowed to get away with portraying itself as something other than the naked racist, anti-Semitic group that it is.

Those that defend Tea Partiers as not being racist seem to have forgotten what the Boston Tea Party actually was: an effort by white men to reduce their tax burden by cowardly portraying themselves as Native Americans so that the “Red man” would get the blame for dumping British tea.

Also, as a Jewish son of a Holocaust survivor I will be first in line to help and defend any Muslim who may need it if this country becomes any more fascist than it already is.

I know that some are not aware of the history of PR, including the separation in the military based on skin color, the trickery/forced sterilization of women, and the history of Vieques…some probably haven’t had PR food, or heard PR music (wow, trust me, they don’t know what they are missing).

You didn’t care when the last president lied to Congress and the entire world to justify a war that claimed the lives of nearly one million people and is still costing hundreds of billions of dollars to this day. But you’re incredibly upset over people committing a federal misdemeanor? You have the 2nd lowest tax burden in the world, with the majority of that going to either social security or the ridiculously high “defense” budget.

I ALSO have an issue when natural born, American citizens like myself who happen to be of Spanish ancestry have to be concerned about being attacked because of a presumption based SOLELY on my last name. And that happens.

And the Tea Party is not being called racist because they want to have laws enforced, they are being called racist because of the views espoused by leaders of that movement are racist or they fail to condemn racist comments or acts by the membership.

And it is also interesting that these guys will say that black women are unattractive, but, you will see them wishing they had a chance with people like Halle Berry, Beyonce, Christina Millian, singer Chilli & Amerie, even Rihanna, Keri Hilson, and Sade.

Besides, how do you think most of the mixed blacks came into being during slavery, just look to Arnold! Sorry, just had to put that in there.

So, here, I will ask you, please explain the difference of being a tea party member and muslim extremist. I’ve seen the signs that muslim extremists hold up with hateful signs towards the U.S. and burning of flags, then, on the other hand, I see the signs of the tea party groups holding up hateful signs about our Pres, and every now and then complain about paying taxes. Now, what I see and believe they both have in common, both are very angry and both have signs about our Pres. and they both appear to be anti…
So please, explain the difference. I know the similarities, and I see no difference.

Obviously, one can dispute that historically but are twisting or violating holy texts for political reasons exclusive to Islam? Absolutely not.

It’s also not the topic of this article. Why are you so desperate to change the topic?

The fact is SOME Muslims are bad. So are SOME Christians, SOME Jews, Some Pagans, etc. I can find plenty of hate in the Christian Bible (and using only the New Testament to avoid any claims of “that is the OLD Jewsih writings!”).

And..before you ask…I have read the Quran and the Hadith (both in the original Arabic form), the Torah, and the Christian Bible. I am NOT a Muslim (far from it), but a person who is obsessed with learning and understanding others. I have been called “anti-American” by Tea Partiers because I don’t agree with many of their rants….yet, unlike MOST of the Tea Party (like MOST of the US), I served and defended this nation for 20+ years. I have traveled the world and seen “those people” in their homes and learned of their cultures. And I have found…”they” almost always have the same concenrs, hopes and dreams we do. As such, I find groups like the Tea Party to be a bigger threat to the US than groups like Al Qaida (who while they are a threat, they are a known group and tracked…unlike the Tea Party who can do more damage from within).

I have known Mr. Dakdok personally for many years and I know that if he did say that, it was in a particular context that you have not presented here. For example, Mr. Dakdok may have been referring to the teaching of the Muslims which says that Allah can not be called a god of love because the Qur’an does not teach he is a god of love. The teaching of the Qur’an to kill Christians and Jews by beheading them (5:72, 5:73 and 47:4) means that one cannot practice the teaching of the Qur’an and be loving. But it is also true that English is not his first language and at times he speaks in hyperbole that is not always understood as such. I have heard him say that if you are a Muslim (meaning a follower of Mohammed and the teaching of the Qur’an) you must be demonized, one who is possessed by the devil. Well, do you, Robert, think a normal loving person can carry out a beheading of an innocent person? Or fly an airplane into building killing thousands of strangers? What about stoning your own daughter to death for adultery? These acts create an inhumane and cruel personality. The Bible says demonic, possessed by evil. You call it what you will, the Qur’an and Islam teaches it.

It is also true that many, so called Muslims, do not even know the teachings of the Qur’an. By educating them about these things which are in the Qur’an, many have renounced its teachings and left Islam. “We love the Muslim people. We hate Islam (the teaching of the Qur’an which includes Jihad, killing of infidels, etc, and the teachings of Mohammed which includes child marriages, abuse of women, etc),” Usama Dakdok.

Yes, if you have a handful of black folks, you can’t possibly be racist. It’s just like how Nazi Germany had some people of 1/2 Jewish ancestry in its top ranks(e.g. Erich von Manstein and Erhard Milch), so they couldn’t have been anti-Semitic.

Freedom? For whom, to do what? And self-reliance? No. Sorry but even in the days of pioneer families, they depended on the government. In fact, pioneer families in many ways depended on the US government more than modern families, as it was the US government which granted them land either for free or sold to them cheaply at a loss. They also depended on the US military for protection. In pioneer times families could not be self-reliant and instead the whole community had to pull together for survival. There were times when this meant that tools and certain resources were used in common, and did not belong to any one family privately. This mode of living is also known as communism.

There’s a lot that can be said here but I’ll simplify it by saying that states with higher welfare benefits have fewer people on welfare and for shorter periods of time. If social welfare schemes cause poverty and ignorance you’re going to have a VERY difficult time explaining why countries like Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Finland have far better standards of living than the US, and much better health statistics- as all of these countries have much higher taxes and spend a lot of that money on social welfare programs including real universal health care coverage.

Liberals by definition do not hate capitalism; in fact the ideology of liberalism traces back to the dawn of capitalism. If you support capitalism and the American system you are by definition a “liberal”. As to freedoms, what freedoms have been lost? The freedom of a woman to get an abortion with full privacy? The freedom to smoke some marijuana in one’s own home? The freedom for gay people to get married? Are those freedoms that the Tea Party is trying to fight for?

Sorry but there is no data to back up this claim. Even on the surface it is ludicrous. Were it true those Scandinavian countries I mentioned should be languishing in poverty.

While they were alone insufficient, the programs of the Great Society did lead to a decrease in poverty.

On an anecdotal level this might seem true, but history and sociology show otherwise. All of the sociological facts I have mentioned thus far can be found along with data in The Way We Never Were by Stephanie Coontz.

Simple. I have a Quran, Yusef Ali, and I have also read commentary on the Quran by Islamic scholars which anyone can do online. The burden of proof is not on me to provide a verse that proves something is not in the Quran.

You don’t need to be Muslim to read the Quran. Those who claim the Quran promotes violences typically quote a few key verses, the same every time. What they don’t tell you is that the revelation in question refers to a very specific situation which the Muslims were facing at that time in their conflict with the pagan Meccans who were persecuting them. According to Islam, Mohammed up to that point knew no sanction for violence even in self-defense(which is why he was once personally beaten and berated by one of his pagan opponents before he left Mecca). The verse that is always quoted refers to what the Muslims were supposed to do in that situation where war with the Meccans was looming over them.

Of course the answer to Islamic commentary will always be that these Imams must be lying, and that their religion commands them to lie to protect the faith. But this tactic is not new at all. It is used by anti-Semites who try to convict Jews via the Talmud. Any time a Rabbi explains what something really means(sometimes common sense makes it clear), they’ll claim he is lying according to his religion’s orders. It’s a catch 22 situation.
