    My advice to anyone is, stay out of bars and don’t drink. Only drunks hang-out in bars, and I blame alcohol abuse, not hatred for crimes such as this.

    I have to disagree with Mr. Holmes on this point. Alcohol may fuel the flames, but hatred is the cause of such attacks. There are many hate crimes which do not occur in bars and are unprovoked.

    You are right Mr. Quentin, but let’s face it, I would guess about 80% of racists who do violence are probably alcoholics. And yes, I know violence occurs outside of bars, but I believe alcohol and illegal drugs are behind the events at some point. Alcohol destroys the ability to make cognitive decisions. Fight alcohol consumption and at least some of the problem might be solved. This applies to all Hate mongers, no matter what color or stripe.
