Notice to Neo-Nazi Thugs: Best to Read Before Attacking
A neo-Nazi skinhead, with a body covered in racist tattoos, is in jail under $75,000 bond on felony malicious harassment charges because he didn’t read the back of a T-shirt worn by a man he’s accused of assaulting.
The skinhead, identified as Daren C. Abbey (right), 28, formerly of Sacramento, Calif., is accused of verbally confronting and then assaulting Marlon L. Baker, a 46-year-old African American, inside a Bayview, Idaho, bar on July 3, authorities said Friday.
Not wanting a confrontation, Baker left the bar and walked toward a marina on Lake Pend Oreille about 9 p.m. Sunday to watch an Independence Day “boat parade” on the waterfront, said Kootenai County Sheriff’s Major Ben Wolfinger. “He didn’t want trouble, so he walked away,’’ Wolfinger said.
But the racist skinhead followed Baker out of the bar, confronting him again with racial slurs before finally pushing him with witnesses watching, the sheriff’s official said.
Fearing for his own safety at that point, Baker took one punch, striking the skinhead in the face and knocking him to the ground, unconscious, Wolfinger said. There were several witnesses who saw the incident and verified Baker’s version of events, according to reports by deputies.
Deputies and an ambulance responded.
When he regained consciousness, Abbey was arrested and booked into jail on charges of battery, a misdemeanor, and felony malicious harassment. Baker was not injured and not charged, Wolfinger said.
The sheriff’s official described Abbey as a “white supremacist” who has numerous tattoos, including at least three Nazi swastikas, and other racist symbols on his arms, neck and torso.
Abbey was treated for a possible broken nose after being booked into the Kootenai County Jail, where he remained on Friday, pending trial.
As he was being led away in handcuffs, Abbey apparently was finally able to see the backside of the T-shirt Baker was wearing. It said, “Spokane Boxing Club champion.”
Rick Welliver, the owner of Spokane Boxing, said to his knowledge Baker has never been a licensed, professional boxer, but may have had some informal boxing experience.
“I’m happy Marlon finally won a fight, but he’s not a boxer,” Welliver said when told about the incident.

As A former racist skinhead, I believe it is important for others to realize, “especially young people,” that despite how big and bad one believes his or herself to be, and there is always someone “bigger and or tougher.” Most bullies probably won’t admit it when
they‘ve been beat. But when it happens in public or makes the headlines, there is simply no denying it.
Back when I still harassed people to feel better about myself, I messed with the wrong person on several occasions. One incident occurred late at night in Hollywood California, where I was kicked out of the house for being a drunken fool. I was on my way to the Liquor store to get more beer as it was close to 2:00 am when most clubs, bars, and stores either close or stop selling alcohol.
Whilst stumbling down Santa Monica Blvd. I noticed a man minding his own business who I “assumed” was gay. Being the friendly drunk I often become after throwing a few down my neck, I shook my head in disgust and called him an “F*****g F****t” as he walked past.
The next thing I remember was a kick to the head, and me-Big Bad Skinhead- laying in the gutter with my feet in the air. As I struggled to get to my feet I felt a THWACK to the face, and he chuckling to himself as he walked off into the night. I was left feeling a bit humbled and humiliated. It’s a good thing there were no witnesses. I will never live it down now that the cat is out of the bag. But it is the truth. So what’s the lesson here isn’t it obvious? I’ll leave that up your interpretation.

Now let me explain to you racists what is a hate crime and what is not.
A white guy walks in a bar buys himself a beer, a black guy bumps into him and the white guy spills his beer over him self, the white guy tells the black guy he owes him a beer, the black guy says no it was accident im not goona buy you a new beer and both parties get into a heated argument over that and it escalates turns into a typical drunken bar fight.
That is not Not a hate crime, just your run of the mill bar brawl where it was just a coincidence the parties involved were white and black.
Here is a hypothetical story of a hate crime.
A white guy named Jack walks into a bar, buys himself a beer,notices a black person named John there and thinks about beating him up because John is black
A few minutes later John goes outside to have a smoke Jack follows John outside, Jack starts shouting racial epihets at John then and punches John in the face causing him to fall in the ground unconscious.
Jack then spits in the face of John and say’s go back to africa you f****** n***** and then shouts white power

The man was mentally ill and was in trouble with the law most of his life. Do you have evidence of the man being motivated by hate? The cops did not find a motivation of hate. The man was just crazy and deranged. You know, just because the perpetrator(s) and the victim(s) are of different backgrounds does not mean hate is the motivation of the perpetrator(s). But then again, since color is the only thing you see, you’ll think any crime against a white person by a non-white person or vice versa is motivated by hate without gathering facts and evidence first. You would not make a good detective.

I see Naughtius Maximus is a fan of Matt Drudge. If look at the archives here, there have been stories of non-whites committing bias crimes. It’s called research. Do some before you run your ignorant mouth. But SPLC doesn’t fan the flames of hate by reporting those stories in a way that says “x group must be eliminated for this”, unlike Drudge and his ilk.

I thought about this, and came to the conclusion of this, why bother getting into a big thing with you. I’m used to reading about people like you. Meaning, people that have so much hatred in their hearts for so long, they don’t know how to love. I think I know your story. A childhood of abuse, dysfunctional family, a child whose father and/or mother that never held him and told him he is loved. The child that gave up on thinking he is worthy of being loved because he didn’t know how to pick the right people in his teen and adult life to receive love. A child that was angry at the world because he didn’t otherwise know how to tell people his pain, nor did he know how to seek the help he needed to ease his pain. I’m sure this is just part of the story, but, the path you’re on, it will eventually all come out in the news of your entire background, because the attorney trying to get you off will tell us everything you don’t want to talk about now.

Chaos, and others: Methinks you misconstrued BggBlkBck’s comment. Seemed like sarcasm to me, implying that many racists, who are also largely homophobic are actually closeted homosexuals.
As far as wishing violence on racists, I do. If for no other reason than to show those cowards that their behavior will not be tolerated or left unpunished any longer. Watched the MSNBC special about the guy with all the racist tatoos getting them removed. Now THAT is real courage. His story also exposes as does T. Zaal’s the usual way these “people” behave, only attacking those they consider helpless or outnumbered, and then _running away_.

Lex ~ I tend to agree that the term African American is misleading, but for different reasons than yours. My father was born in South Africa and became an American citizen later on in life. He was, by cenus standards, a white man. Yet he is the only African American man I’ve ever known. And yes, I am more than old enough to remember when we started using the term African American. I asked all my friends what they thought about it, regardless of skin colour. Only one African American gal preferred the term African American, but that was because she could trace her family’s history directly back to Africa. I had no problem with her logic.
