Jonas Rand: Interesting question. The SPLC intelligence files page on sovereign citizens says that their valuations of treasury direct accounts "[range] from $600,000 to $20 million".

Let's do some math here. The latest M2 number from the Federal Reserve gives us a total money supply of 8.36 trillion USD in 2009. We'll generously assume that it reached 10 trillion USD in 2010.

Now the 2010 census gives us a population of 308,745,538 persons. If we divide the money supply by the population we get... $32,389.13. Logically that should be the highest _possible_ amount for my treasury direct account, and that's assuming that 100% of all existing dollars are in said accounts.

$32,389.13 < $600,000-$20 million

Clearly there is some massive government conspiracy to explain this petty discrepancy.

Jonas Rand,
LOL! I'm really laughing at these claims they make, because for real, these people sound like 'enemy combatants' to me! LOL!

"Dattilo responded to the charges claiming that he has a $10 million bond that he used instead of car insurance, that the court did not have jurisdiction over him, and he was not required to have a valid driver’s license or registration, all claims common to the sovereign citizen movement."

This raises an interesting question. How do sovereign citizens calculate the amount of money stored in their treasury direct account? Do they use a magic 8 ball, or what?
