If this country really cared about civil liberties, this wouldn't be allowed to happen. But the state of civil liberties in this country sucks, since many rights can be taken away by federal or state government as fast as you can say "dictatorship". A state that is allowed to murder its own citizens, for whatever reason, doesn't respect civil rights any more than a street thug. “A Texas white supremacist responsible for an anti-Muslim shooting spree faces execution on Wednesday.”

If this country really cared about civil liberties, this wouldn’t be allowed to happen. But the state of civil liberties in this country sucks, since many rights can be taken away by federal or state government as fast as you can say “dictatorship”.
