Two teens in Arvada, Colo., have been charged [1] with a hate crime for beating up a man as they used gay slurs. The teens  are accused of following a man for several blocks and beating up the victim as he was walking with a friend.

Police are investigating [2] an incident on Provincetown, Mass., in which a gay couple was assaulted while their attackers used anti-gay language. The two men were walking home when, they say, they informed two men in a car that they were driving in the wrong direction and were then assaulted by the drivers.

A Pennsylvania man was arrested [3] after being wanted for a possible hate crime. Kelvin Ford is accused of using a box cutter to cut a man on the neck, face and arm in July while using racial comments against the victims and other individuals involved.

A teen from Lower Salford, Penn., pleaded guilty [4] to a charge of terroristic threats after spray-painting swastikas and ethnic slurs on a Jewish family’s home. Although the charge is normally a misdemeanor, the prosecutor upgraded the charge due to the ethnic nature of the crime, while the defense claims the defendant was simply intoxicated.
