IRS Ends Anti-Gay Group AFTAH’s Tax-Exempt Status

The Internal Revenue Service has revoked the nonprofit tax status of Americans for the Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), an organization that has been named a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center. AFTAH’s tax status was revoked for failure to comply with IRS nonprofit filing requirements. The group’s head, Peter LaBarbera, says the group is working to get its status back.
