In 1967 I graduated from a segregated HS in Jacksonville Florida named after Nathan Bedford Forrest. Jacksonville Florida (Duval County) would honor itself by re-naming this HS after William Stetson Kennedy.
    What symmetry!

Re-nameing the school after William Stetson Kennedy speaks well for Jacksonville and Duval County Florida. There are still some stinkin , rotten , places that unfortunately are hanging on. MLK, Jr will be honored this weekend ( 09-04 ) and without his contributions we wwouldn’t be as far as we are.
