Unless they are in conflict with God's law. But we shouldn't worry about Hal and his far out views. I feel kinda sorry for Hal. Because anyone can crack open a bible and see CLEARLY that Hal is NOT a true Christian. To paraphrase a few concepts God's word CLEARLY tells us we come from ONE blood. It also tells us to love our neighbor. Also to love(and I know some of these people makes that nearly impossible,lol) and pray for our enemies. Also to be peaceful as much as it depends on us,with all men. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Hal has done NONE of these things. He should remember that if Catholics took up arms to dismantle the government, the first thing the pope would do is dissolve the constitution and replace it with the bible.
