J.D. also missed the part that said Mr. Huff is from Georgia, not a citizen of Tennessee. The mantra of these right wing-nuts is “Local Control,” so, why are citizens of Georgia in Tennessee interfering with their political affairs? Mr. Huff would likely be the first one “up in arms” if a group of “citizens” from L.A. California came to his town and tried to arrest the people he voted for.

In the many stories I’ve read about this incident there is no mention of the other OathKeepers and militia members who were there and “chickened out” when the chips were down and the blue lights started flashing. They all turned tail and ran away, leaving Mr. Huff holding the bag.

Not surprisingly, J. D. has failed the reading comprehension test.
What this article refers to as “not a crime” is the refusal by the Tennessee officials to indict President Obama.
Oh, and just being a citizen does not give anyone a “right” to make a citizen’s arrest. There are very specific conditions that must apply, such as personally witnessing the criminal behavior.
J. D. is the mindless one in this instance.

I am hoping that Darren Huff will be sentenced to prison and kept behind bars until President Obama is safely out of office. He, and the people who went with him to Tennessee, are a danger to all of us. I can’t help wondering what is happening with the other Oath Keepers and the Georgia Militia during this time leading up to the 2012 election. The Oath Keeper and Georgia Militia members that I know are very vocal about their plans to take action of a violent nature if our president is re-elected and many of them carry such hatred for him that I can’t be sure he will be safe long enough to see the election.
The rhetoric that I hear and read tells me that these militia people are organizing an effort to insert themselves into local governments and one small and growing branch here in my area even claims that law enforcement and local politicians here and in a neighboring county are “on board” with their stated plans to see all who are not part of their militias “perish” and to “take over the White House by armed force” if the president is re-elected. I can’t really imagine that they will disband and give up their plans to eliminate all “liberals” even if the president isn’t re-elected. I see them as a potential threat to any county government that they see as out of step with their agenda.
They have no respect whatsoever for the rights of the rest of the citizens of this country to elect our representatives and officials without fear of having them step in with arms and remove them if they don’t match their ultra conservative, racist militia agenda.
I see this as one of the largest threats to our safety and our Democratic system and, although Darren Huff and a few others have been disarmed and taken off the streets, there are many, many more who are plotting still and doing what they can to secure private areas for themselves to train and develop their strategies to take over neighborhoods and local governments for their own use.

So he wasn’t a citizen? Obviously, that’s all the ‘authority’ one needs to make a citizen’s arrest.

This reminds of a Book that is being sold on Amazon called Rebel Call. It alludes to former Vets that become Neo Nazis and start assassinating prominent civil rights leaders. It reads like the Turner Diaries, albeit a little more modern. I visited the Author’s Facebook page and he has friends like April Gaede and Harold Covington. His book is graphically violent, and explicitly racist.
