Sheriff Joe on Birth Certificate Probe: ‘Media has suddenly gone missing …’

By Ryan Lenz on November 29, 2011 - 3:44 pm, Posted in Conspiracies

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is angry that no one is paying attention to his investigation into the validity of President Obama’s birth certificate.

“[W]hy has the media has decided to black out all news of our Obama investigation? That’s what I don’t understand. … I’m a controversial guy and usually the media is all over me, but when I decided to investigate Obama, the media has suddenly gone missing in action,” Arpaio told WorldNetDaily, the right-wing conspiracy website that has led the charge to question the legitimacy of Obama’s citizenship.

Arpaio’s lust for publicity is all very odd, given that his office initially minimized the probe as nothing special. In September, Arpaio spokesman Sgt. Jesse Spurgin told Hatewatch that the department asked the sheriff’s all-volunteer “Cold Case Posse” to review claims Obama’s certificate was a fake, but only after a local Tea Party group requested. He went to great pains to characterize the review as nothing more than an “inquiry.”

Now, WND is touting thousands of pages of documents the investigation has allegedly uncovered, and a looming “Obama surprise.” WND has also reported that Arpaio is investigating whether Obama “is using a fraudulent Social Security number … as well as whether the birth certificate issued by the White House on April 27 is a forgery.”

Obama released his long-form birth certificate in April, but WND publisher Joseph Farah – who sponsored billboards with the text “Where’s the birth certificate?” – continued to indulge his obsession. To justify it, he claimed to be following the prompting of a “skeptical public” eager for someone to press Obama on his birthplace.

But as often happens with WND, it’s hard to gauge what is true and what is fantasy. Arpaio was in New Hampshire with Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s campaign staff on Tuesday and unavailable for comment. Spurgin, the department’s spokesman, also claimed to know nothing of the developments.

At least for now, the answer to Arpaio’s questions is relatively easy. Why isn’t the media paying attention to your investigation, Sheriff Joe? It might just be because the question you’re investigating has already been answered.

anonymous…the best thing that could happen to this nation would be if RACIST!! scum like arpaio would cease to exist….but i am sure that when this old piece of manure passes on there will be more like him to take his place….especially in arizona.

You bunch of anti-american traitors. Obama is an impostor and he’s killing this country. He has raped our Constitution and you come to his defense. Wait until they come for you and stick you in a FEMA camp. We’ll see what you think about him then.

If he is spending tax dollars on this investigation, then that is a problem. If he is spending his own time and that of the volunteers, then what is the problem. People have espoused offbeat theories in this country for years (decades?). There are people that think 911 was a government plot. There are people who believe aliens live amongst us. If he produces something reasonably factual/plausible, then he should get news coverage.

Just wonder what the certificates mean “problem has already been answered?” Two with different hospitals have been posted on Governor Ambercrombie says: No Birth Certificate can be found -live on YouTube of Berrry (aka Barak Obama) in the State of Hawaii. So what are these posted ones doing up on the web? No wonder people cry “Forgery.” Please explain.

John, you can keep screaming and crying, “It’s not true!” But Obama’s documents have been verified by several independent sources, his birth was announced in a local Hawaiian newspaper, and the certificate of live birth he provided is sufficient to get a passport; the same way I got mine.

Now scream and cry some more.

As far as I am concerned, anyone asserting the “birther” line is bigot. This crap is only meant to rile up the white supremacist later day Dixiecrats (GOP and Tparty). It is long past time that such people are driven from the public discourse back into the darkness from whence they come.

Who can tell us when empirical evidence ceased to be the determining factor in discovering truth? Ridicule is not substituted for evidence or a lack thereof. The Obama birth documents posted by the White House are computer generated and would not be accepted in an application for a passport or Texas college entrance. E-verify does not verify BHO’s social security number. Many features of the birth documents indicate they are composite constructions and not derived from legitimate documents. A birth certificate bearing an official seal would help, but since the honesty of the subject is in question, an examination of the microfilm roll picturing the original document and the original document itself by trustworthy officials would easily verify the birth document or documents. BHO seems to have revealed no documentation proving citizenship at all. So stop ridiculing those looking for empirical evidence and demand the evidence so you can crow if it proves your as of yet unsupported contentions.

You know, some people believe that humans having free will and thought are incompatible with the existence of any sort of God. I on the contrary, and after reading this blog post, have become more convicted that it must be an all-seeing and loving supreme religious being that is the reason we’ve (meaning the world) has gotten as far as it has and without ending. It’s interesting to study in Genealogy just how even two or three extra genome markers is the difference between any of us being in a lifetime asylum some place or being ‘normal’ yet productively intelligent beings in society.

I can only pray and hope Mr. Joe has no offspring that could possibly infect other members of the population with this rabidly contagious stupidity virus; Anyone else, Left or Right, moderate or whatever who DOESN’T think this birth certidicate matter is primarily about Obama’s race, or how he can’t ppossibly be like ‘you and me’ is as naive if not cognitively deficient as the tea-baggin’ birther brats are…

Jane Schiff — a little humour-impaired, are we?

  • Erika

Has anyone ever seen Sheriff Joe’s birth certificate? What is he trying to hide?

  • Jane Schiff

Mitch – I’m a touch confused – do you mean better off sans Sheriff Joe Arpaio or do you mean sans any sheriff?

  • Mitch Beales

Everyone also knows that Maricopa County would be far better off sans sehriff!

Everyone knows that the president’s mother was abducted by aliens, taken to a flying saucer, and made part of a breeding program during which the president was conceived. The reason no one pays any attention to sheriff Joe’s investigation is that everyone also knows by now that the aliens, with their advanced technology, are far too clever to be discovered by sehriff Joe.
