Religion has once again proved to be a major impediment to maintaining a civilized society. Radical, largely irrelevant ideas have taken over the minds of some people in important leadership positions and we’re starting to look more and more like no progress has been made in a thousand years! People need to seperate facts from customs and fantasies so we can have a liveable social environment. Just a thought..

If “worse” is even possible, worse than Jeffs are those IDIOTS who let themselves be brainwashed and controlled by him. He needs to just shut up – he’s basically DONE!! The Mormon Church, of course, excommunicated all these people (FLDS), which was a wise decision. The Mormon people also need to turn in to the police everyone who is practicing polygamy. It is against the law and SHOULD be against the law. The mainstream church, however, might also consider stopping the practice of polygamy in their temple ceremonies. The Mormons are great people, but they are still living with 19th Century beliefs, “sent down” by the church “presidency,” many of which beliefs no longer have any credibility or validity, due to progress made by science and other discoveries.

The first rule of analyzing apocalyptic visions is this: Whenever someone tells you that the world is coming to an end, believe them. Because for them, personally or culturally, it probably is.

Jeffs was a God in his own private universe, and created a hell on earth for thousands of women. He’s been pushed out of his own firmament, and his world is effectively done and over with. So, naturally, he figures that the God that elevated him is going to seek retribution for that destruction.

Nothing new about this — it’s classic paranoid narcissism — but it is one of the more pathetically bizarre acts to be seen in the human circus.

What is it with people and the end times? Whenever someone predicts the imminent end of the world, and it doesn’t materialize, they look like laughing stocks. At some point, even people like Warren Jeffs have to realize that.
