No, I don’t mean Jews, the Illuminati, Commies or any other imaginary group invented long ago by the information challenged.

I mean an every changing and fluid group of plutocrats who by acquisition of money through various means, usually through their positions in corporate entities, or as most usually is the case, plutocrats who ride on the back of the faceless, dumb corporation.

Corporations are entities constructed for profit that function like automatic machines, some fail, but others will rise in prominence to take their place, filled with small figure-heads that are empowered by small groups (shareholders) and larger blocks (stock holders) who by the faithful diligence of its workers, ensure that the entity moves on the service the goal of increases profits and earnings to feed the three groups mentioned above.

They aren’t any one block of people, they don’t represent any one ideal of world domination or control. They just are a parts of a larger machinery that is running rampant and without controls, with no other regard than the three goals mentioned above.

That’s the problem and unless and until people turn, unified to deal with that problem, all the rest is just silly or as in the case of these bigots, really, really stupid and tragic.

I’ve read here paranoid commentary about “the Frankfort School”, the ridiculous notion that somehow, for a reason yet unexplained, the movement of a population across a border has some environmental impact that is isolated to their cross-border destination. Is there some kind of force-field of atmosphere or other physical barrier that makes population growth and its attendant issues only an issue across some man-made, arbitrary line?

Absurd, population growth is a problem all over the world and one not addressed by the elite who hold the power and control capital globally. A labor pool that is diluted with more human capital than can be used at any one time keeps their profits up and living standards down. All the rest to them is nothing. All the while, while our planet suffers irreversible damage and people die in poverty across the globe, fools like American bigots form groups and rally against imagined enemies, invented out of the fertid, fearful imaginations.

And as if that’s not tragic enough, a commenter recounts the tragic, genocidal history of the development of the United States and without hesitation, a member of the flock of ignorants come out to say he/she doesn’t believe the historic analysis that every historic scholar and ninth grader knows very well and can see with their own eyes.

As if that’s not enough revelation of the extent of paranoid and delusional abilities of the American bigot mind, then they trot out the tired old commie line. Honestly, can’t you just let Marx rest in peace? The man is dead, the philosophy never hit the ground running any more than the development of that far-off Libertarian state.

Most often I think our society abuses pharmaceuticals far too much, but in the instance of nativists and other American bigots, a good case exists for the use of mood altering medication on a daily basis.

I am very interested in thoughtful comment by those who DO NOT link population growth (measured by fertility rates or immigration or both) with environmental stabilization and sustainability. Essentially, the question is can we (or any bioregion) continue to increase population and not suffer environmental degradation?

As an idealist, I am a consistent advocate for it, as a realist about human nature, I am pessimistic that we as species can make the leap.

The fact that many (not all) organizations that wish to reduce or halt immigration have grabbed onto the environmental component to bolster their arguments is well known. These nativists, xenophobes, and cultural preservationists are environmentalists only in the sense that they say they are, but in reality are completely disingenuous about their true motives. However, population growth and its impact, esp vis a vis our current obsession with economic growth and finite resource utilization is an issue central to saving what remains of our biosphere. That discussion should be front and center in any discussion on the enviroment and mans place in it, sans worries about political correctness.

Mr. Smith, I am truly sorry for how you have wasted your life and damaged the lives of those others in the pursuit of lies, hatred, bigotry, and cynicism. What have you accomplished in all those years? Have you improved the lives of any other human beings? Have you done anything to improve the earth? All you do is wage little flame wars on the Internet and support the lies and deceits of crackpots and cynical manipulators.

And the sad part is, when your number are all in, the verdict on you will be, “He hated.”

Indians lived that way because they lacked the intelligence to come up with Western inventions. I don’t see any Indians living like they did for thousands of years today.

Actually, the Obama Administration has had a record number deportations since 2009. Last year, 2011, there were nearly 400,000 deportations and Obama Administration has deported more people than the Bush, Jr. Administration. Because of that, Obama’s Latino support has decreased.
