The racism in Arizona now is so outspoken and pervasive now that my son attending college there just cannot wait to leave the state he grew in. He lives in one of the beautiful areas with one of the best climates and cleanest airs in the state, unlike our old home town of Mesa now in a giant heat trap and a virtual environmental cesspool. His high school was so blatantly pro-religious they allowed Christian rock bands to perform at lunch time. He was called into the Principal’s office for wearing a Bible verse on his shirt something many students did but never got in trouble for as they should not. His sin was wearing Leviticus 20:9 “If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.” That was apparently against school policy in Christian Arizona.

My son’s car was vandalized three times several years back for the horrible sin of having a Barrack Obama for president sticker on it. He learned that in Arizona you curb your free speech to survive.

One translation for name of the city Eloy I’ve heard is “My God.” In high school we used to joke and say that it really meant “My God!” The truth is that Eloy has had a very tough history beginning as mostly a transient town, one of the poorest on the state. It was almost totally destroyed by a tornado during those days by one of the massive storms that used to run from Tucson to Phoenix drenching both. They avoid Phoenix now due to excessive tarmac, cement and pollution trapping the heat.

People may jump to conclusions in this case but I can see why. The racism in Arizona is so deep and perverse that it is a disease. Today’s Arizona racist can no more sense the racism in their actions than those Mormon foster families did when I was growing up. They use religious, economic, and even civil liberties as arguments for their beliefs and actions. All of these can be used easily as reasons for such a feeling of superiority that allows the true believer to go too far.

They didn’t seize their drug loads. Didn’t take the illegals hostage for ransom purposes. They flat out open fire.

Meanwhile, Jason Smith, you have managed to be totally irrelevant again. What matters is that people were murdered by assailants in military-type gear and carrying military-type weapons in what appeared to be a military-type ambush, and that if they were U.S. citizens murdering the citizens of a neighboring country with whom our own is at peace, this has serious implications indeed. That is the moreso if they are either genuine veterans, or contracters.

Also note that if we did assume they were white, it wouldn’t be that odd since America is still majority-white. I thought you’d be happy about that.

I hate to say it, but I would also point out that Neo-Nazi JT Ready’s group is most likely not involved. He stays within the Pinal County and sticks with the patrols in the Vekol Valley. He has a working partnership with PCSO and Border Patrol.

In fact, some of those unhinged crackpots are now in the US Congress and local state legislatures due to the Tea Party.

On immigration, the masses are being played. Here in Florida, the GOP dominated legislature voted down an immigration bill requiring employer verification. The hospitality industry needs the cheap labor.

Hopefully these guys have never spent anytime in any actual military, or have any real paramilitary training. That will only make them harder to capture and more likely that they will successfully kill again. Either way the police should get to work tracking down and apprehending these people
