Perhaps the Republicans should have read actually read that book they want to force everyone else to live their life by: “He who sews the wind shall reap a whirlwind” would have told them exactly what the result of campaigning to attract racists to vote for their party would be.

The best thing for them to do is to vote to dissolve the county committee and defer responsibility to the state party.

Assuming that the county organization does not have an existing means to eject members of the party, the state party apparatus probably does.

If Smith contests any attempt to remove him the courts will certainly support him since he won in an open election.

IMHO, this is another failure to properly vet a candidate. I guess the GOP committee for Luzerne County, Pennsylvania and its members, weren’t too concerned about looking into Steve Smith’s background before he placed his name on the ballot. Something tells me that there were more than a few people in the county who knew about his background before he was elected to the committee, and that they only became concerned after his ties to white supremacist organizations became national news.

I sincerely hope that instead of claiming this guy is a “liberal infiltrator”, conservatives will instead take this opportunity to do some soul-searching and ask themselves as to why their party attracts these people.

“European-American”.

This coin phrase is rather vague and doesn’t specify a certain race or ethnic group. Much like a Hispanic, which is not a race and they could be anything from a black Dominican, to a Spanish white or an Amerindian of Mexico etc. The same with this “European-American” quo.

Well, by playing the “Southern” (resentful white people) strategy, the GOP asked for him, and they got ‘im.

Elephants, intelligent, socially conscious animals,are no longer the right symbol for that party. The Coryphodon, with a brain the size of a walnut, was probably the stupidest placental mammal that ever lived. Because it weighed half a ton and had tusks like a wild boar, it nonetheless thrived undisturbed through the Eocene, but finally something more intelligent than it was got big enough to eat it. This is the proper official animal of the Republican Party.
