The much more dangerous group of male supremacists are various religious nuts – primarily showing up in certain Protestant demoninations. These groups believe in total male domination – in that it is the wife’s duty to submit to the husband – some even call for the elimination of women’s sufferage. These people do have power – and oddly they often use women as their primary spokespeople – e.g. Michelle Bachmann. They also have corporate backing and can show up in Tea Party circles. There are various forms of the religious groups, but if you start poking around suburban mega churches, backwoods churches, and the Republican Party you can find many examples. The ones to really watch out for are the Dominionists – these are people who believe that you have to have a government based upon Old Testament law before Jesus comes back.

In generally avoid any church which displays the national flag of Teabagistan and you should be fine :)

Most everyone I know is from Texas, including my exes (kneeslap – LOL!!!)

But I don’t know too many men who want to claim their daughters much less say they’re their property.

I would say that my daughter is a gift to me from God but not my property. Where are these people, and how can I tell them apart so that I may avoid them in the future?

I am pretty good at spotting various gang signs and tattoos of all colors of gang members, but the individuals that do not openly identify themselves escape me.

I’m guessing that like their adoption of the Gadsen Flag it simply was a cool looking Revolutionary War symbol they could take and use for their fundamentally anti-American purposes – which are bad, but what really bothers me are their anti-Erika objectives ;)

I suspect that for the average Texas Republican a woman is property of her husband (or father if she is unmarried) with no rights of their own (they do claim to support “traditional marriage” after all).. Thus, a pregnant woman is merely a vessel to hold her husband’s (or father’s) property in the unborn child.

But to bring it back to our flag selling white supremacist, the Texas REpublicans would no doubt be interested in the Texas Confederate and Texas Rattlesnake flags that Mr. Rogers (I don’t want to live in his neighborhood!) sells.

- I think their staunch opposition of critical thinking is the most laughable one of all…only because I can tell you from experience that they fully expect their assistants and aides to think critically in order to futher their goals. They routinely hire people that are smarter than they are.

– it proclaims the existence of God but fails to define God or provide any proof that God exits;
– establishes the sanctity of human life from fertilization to natural death while supporting the death penalty and beating children as effective tools of justice and education respectively;

–opposes Affirmative Action in the name of preserving equal opportunity;
–affirms that homosexuality “tears at the fabric of society” whatever that may be;
–says that health care decisions should be a matter between doctor and patient free from government intrusion at the same time as it proposes two pages of regulations aimed to prevent termination of pregnancy;
–and, staunchly opposes critical thinking because it might “challenge fixed beliefs”.

If the Republican Party were not already such a joke I would think this platform was written as comedy.

A rough night and a sultry morning caused me to read, “Valhalla or Victory” as “Vanilla or Victory”. I have not yet achieved victory, but in the interests of keeping me working, my co-author dropped off a pint of vanilla.

It may be that I have a savage headache this morning, but upon following the link to the, er, Gadsden flag variations, I immediately envisioned a really large lawn mower or combine harvester looming over the snake, ready to chop it to bits (which is kind of sad — I like snakes. But symbolically just fine considering the behavior of some of these turds).

Also — hmmmm. These folks don’t percieve the irony behind the sectioned snake with the “Join or Die” (or “Unite and die — I’m really knocked out this morning) since these folks seem so intent on leaving the union.

A flag is an inanimate object and therefore cannot be racist, it’s a figure of speech. It is the message and the conveyance of said message through their purchase and distribution that is racist by intention – the intentions of men and women, not the material the flags are made out of. So don’t be ridiculous sir.

Unless of course you are proud of them, then it’s not hate, it’s culture right? And we should wholeheartedly accept that with open arms and bright, brilliant smiles, and forget about the physical pain a lot of those symbols once inspired. Correct?

I seriously feel sad for anyone who reaches his shop through an internet search for buying normal flags and unwittenly supports his hate activities since most of his offerings are the normal type of thing you’d find in any flag shop and you essentially have to look to find the racist stuff. So its good to expose this sort of thing so that people don’t unwittenly support his hate activities by buying flags from him.
