I agree with Dee Batis except you have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Mark Youseff knew before he filmed the documentary, that it would cause riots.

This is one of those free speech cases where the ACLU or SPLC would have provided better representation than the one he got. I don’t think he should have been sentenced to prison its better to just ignore him.

I have to agree with Dee Batis, except for one item of law. No matter if the producer was a felon or not, did he wantonly produce this film to cause the mass rioting and killings that happened after the showing of the film. That has to be proven, and if so, then he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I fully agree with Dee Batis, freedom of the press doesn’t give the right to produce something that causes mass riots and deaths. But, with all the critical ism given, how did the producers know about the reaction to the film? In that case, jail time should not even enter the thought. All one can do is to sue.

It’s too bad they didn’t convict him on hate crimes ~ did he even get charged???
This man is responsible for the deaths of many, many people & should be charged with them. I understand freedom of speech and censorship laws but the making of these types of films should be outlawed, especially when they result in the deaths of innocents.
