Excuse me, but I have to criticise some of this story-

1. “...suspected extremist connections....”
Really? Guess what? In America (by law enforcement standards which are set by SPLC and ADL) 90% of the population has some form of extremist connection. It's also quite possible that could by closer to 98%

2. “...has expressed antigovernment views similar to those held by adherents to the ‘sovereign citizens’ movement....”
And what is wrong with that? Is there a law against having freedom of opinion?

3. “...Extremists from that movement have had numerous run-ins with police in recent years, often because they have invalid driver’s licenses or vehicle registrations....”
Did you know that extremists, in general (no matter the political or religious ideologies) are "extremists"? What about extremist cops that have vocalized (multiple videos courtesy of YouTube) looking forward to killing Americans? You say nothing about that. Is that also a view of SPLC?

4. “...Two West Memphis, Ark., officers were killed by a father-son team of sovereigns during a traffic stop in May 2010.”
Which I personal think is horrible. But does this man Walck have any direct ties to that duo? If not then drop it. It's an unfounded allegation.

5. “...including references to federal sieges in the 1990s at Waco and Ruby Ridge, authorities say."
So? I'm not a SC, yet it's not beneath me to verbally offer a book of matches to a fed or cop telling them "Hey! There's a church down the street and I think they have families in the basement!" Listen, Waco was a raw deal period. If it was so true and just for the BATF and FBI to pull that off then explain why they lied about their actions. If they really wanted David they could have called and asked him to meet at a coffee shop somewhere on "intercept him" (boy them cops love those hi tech complicated terms) when he went to the post office.

6. “...he may have possible connections with Shaun P. Winkler....”
Enough of the "he may have" bullcrap. I guarantee you if I had access to the personal files and lives of SPLC employees I know for a fact I would find at least a handful that have guaranteed anti-American connections. Guaranteed.

7. “...Walck was booked into the Burleigh County Detention Center on three state charges – terrorizing....”
Similar to terrorizing Americans and visitors from other countries with deadly weapons (such as the Chinese woman here in the US visiting her daughter that nearly died from being tazed by cops because she not only couldn't understand the cops and what they were saying or the store employees that were making racist remarks about her....?).

Tit for tat. You talk about all of these evil Americans, now start talking about the evil cops that abuse their authority.

Stop using the word "sovereign" as if it were a bad thing in an attempt to slur the word and what it means. Everyone is sovereign.
