I can’t believe that a ten year old boy can do this to his father, but the whole thing is the parent gave his child a hate feeling so that’s why father became the victim because he was teaching or working on that hate and how to use gun a those tricks! It is just unbelievable… I wish we can keep all those feelings aways from children because they are minor and can not distinguish what is good and what is bad so they used what they have learned. In general all of those feelings should not exists regardless of their age.

This is a perfect example of a case where rehabilitation should be the primary goal of sentencing rather than punishment in America. Deterrents obviously weren’t effective when was was needed were better and more agile social services before the crime occured.

He’s still young enough and impressionable enough to understand the errors he made that a twelve year old really doesn’t have the life experience to process. If he goes into yet another hellish juvi detention facility, I can almost guarantee he’ll come out a sociopath and end up the rest of his life in jail.

And that’s the real tragedy because even the prosecutors see the kid has virtues.

I see alot of compassion expressed here. Obviously the father was not well, Either before or after becomming a member of that group. Therefore, the Child can’t be rehabilitated, because he never lived in a sane household. He needs the care he has never received, to adjust to Our “sane” world. He’d already done 10 years, before his crime. Perhaps a new trial, with a change of venue, by people not in the box. This child doesn’t need punishment, but absolute Love. This young man went through enough punishment in his life, he doesn’t need any more. I am surprised at the judge who sentenced him. He is the one to receive punishment, not the boy. Love will turn this boy around. Not jail time, not even for a day.

It doesn’t matter why the poor kid killed that wacko. The great thing is he did us all a favor by cleaning up another piece of trash. The father, and I use that term loosely in this case trained his boy well in the use of guns didn’t he. Live by the sword die by the sword. I hope they can help the poor kid. At least he don’t have to live with that creep anymore.

Poor kid. I hope he is able to get the help he so desperately needs. And as much as I abhor the father’s ideology, I feel terrible for his dying in such an horrific manner.

That being said, he should have locked up his damned guns.

It should be noted that Joseph has had previous acts of violence prior to his father becoming a nazi. Speaking as a responsible gun owner, Jeff had no business keeping a firearm in his home, considering the mental illness/past behavior of his child.

Neo-Nazis have various psychological manifestations associated with their racist mentality. The neo-Nazi father was not a responsible gun owner, soley because of the paranoia and fear they live with everyday. That paranoid state comes from vehement thoughts of being ambushed by his racist enemies, rivals and so on. So he leaves his guns lying around the house.

Since neo-Nazis are not much different from street gangs. They should be incorporated as such. Neo-Nazis are naturally criminals and therefore, they shall not be in possession of guns. This should be a part of the gun control initiatives.

The victim was a maniac and I’m sure someone who any ten year old would find more than a little frightening.

At least he’ll get out relatively soon and hopefully get some serious therapy while in custody, assuming such a thing is available.

Then again, the fact that a ten year old is even put on trial for shooting his SS uniform wearing, goose stepping maniac of a father is frightening in itself. You simply cannot be raised by someone spouting the wonderful world of genocide and not come out a mess of monumental proportions.

Dave, there was a case on the wealthy side of Louisville that bears repeating. Nearby neighbors reported fully automatic gunfire being heard. An upstanding citizen that has a Federal license for such was questioned, Keep in mind, the license for these costs thousands of dollars every year and they go through expensive ammo like crazy. His cabinet was securely locked. As it turned out, his nearly adult son figured out how to remove and replace the hinge pins, leaving the doors locked, and invited a few friends over for some nighttime shooting when his dad was away. Nobody was injured.

What I’m worried about is that if this child’s brain has been programmed with hate and violence to the point it can not be rehabilitated. I’ve heard some studies that say the values you learn up through age 8 or 9 are the core ones which will never leave you through out life.

Hopefully the judge in this case focuses more on rehabilitation than punishment – but too often even juvenile court hearings have moved to punishment only and removed any thought of rehabilitation. All punishment would do would be to release him back into the world with a whole lot of anger and resentment.

Talk about reaping what you sow! I hope that Judge Leonard is wise and just and will hand down a sentence which might allow this child’s life to be salvaged. Perhaps Hall will get credit for time served in the prison of violence and hate his father created. “Responsible gun owners” take note.
