Still, it’s a little hard to believe that this man regularly stands in front of a classroom filled with students of a wide variety of faiths, races and social backgrounds and instructs them on evolutionary psychology, the psychology of child and adolescent development, and social and personality development.

Yes it is always amazing to me that idiots like this are given pulpits in front of diverse crowds. But it’s always nice when everyone realizes that the Emperor on the Pulpit has no clothes.

the “intellectual” racists can try to pretend to be different but deep down their true core of wanting to see those they disagree with meet violent ends comes through. since racism – or any sort of supremacy is largely an ideology of impotence it is no surprise that the violence the supremacists want to see is often directed towards women and the violence they fantasize about is often highly sexual. This link between sex and violence is probably why so many of the white supremacists, rligious right kooks, and male supremacists turn out to be disgusting perverts (either rapists or pedophiles).

it doesn’t matter that he’s educated and “intellectual” – no doubt intelligent to become a professor at a university – but deep down the deep sated hatred towards others reveals not “pride” or “superiority” but instead a massive inferiority complex.. The fantasizing about violence particularly against women reveals the truth about how impoetent these racists really feel.

This is likely also a case where it turns out that psychologists are often the craziest people around.

Erika, in Alabam’ , one year CCW permits are issued at the sole discretion of the county sheriff, who may also add any restrictions that he deems necessary. Open carry is OK with no permit while on foot, unless you are at a public demonstration, political rally or wildlife area. I am not sure which of those would define a KKK rally. In a vehicle, without a permit, handguns are to be always unloaded and cased in the luggage compartment well away from the passengers. A traditional rear window rifle / shotgun rack is OK. Mr. Potok could bring another much needed voice of reason to the NRA, could take some courses to better ensure his safety, and may understand more of their positions after meeting some of the more reasonable members.

and several of us who live in conservative Southern states have absolutely no need for a concealed carry permit – quite simply, we live in open carry states. that means thre is no need for an concealed carry permit because any idiot who wants to can walk around openly carrying guns like they were Yosemite Sam or Elmer Fudd.
