MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Pay no attention to that man beneath the sheet.

Do not go downtown to listen to his wicked words. Do not heckle or protest his presence. He is not worth it. His time has passed. He has no teeth.

That’s the message of the city of Memphis as it faces a trying day.

On Saturday – Easter eve – the Ku Klux Klan is scheduled to hold a “mass” rally here to protest the city’s recent decision to rename three Confederate-themed parks, including one honoring Nathan Bedford Forrest, the wealthy slave trader and ruthless Rebel cavalry lieutenant general, who became the first national leader of the KKK. But as the general’s modern day Klan kin rant and rave on the steps of the Shelby County Courthouse, local political, religious and business leaders hope everyone else in town – except for a huge contingent of police officers in riot gear – is more than five miles away at a hastily organized counter-event called the Heart of Memphis. It is scheduled to be an all-day affair at the fairgrounds with food, music, an Easter egg hunt and several panels on improving race relations in this Mississippi River city of more than 600,000 residents, 63% of whom are African-American. A reported member of the white nationalist Council of Conservative Citizens is running for a seat on a suburban Kansas City, Mo., school board on a platform that includes “removing materials that promote racial diversity” in a district that is becoming increasingly diverse.

The candidate, Edward Stephens, a 25-year-old electrical engineer, came in fifth – dead last – with 5% of the vote when he first ran for a seat on the seven-member Park Hill School board in Platte County in 2012. A candidate who dropped out of the race before the election even got more votes than Stephens. ( continue to full post… )

Coulter: GOP Supports Arming Blacks to Defend Against Dems

In Superman comics, Bizzaro World is a cube-shaped planet on which all normal rules of reality are reversed and everything is the opposite of the way it is on Planet Earth.

It is also the only place imaginable where Ann Coulter’s assertion that “For more than a hundred years, Republicans have aggressively supported arming blacks, so they could defend themselves against Democrats” could possibly be uttered with a straight face. ( continue to full post… )

The New Black Panther Party (NBPP) and New Black Liberation Militia (NBLM) are planning an armed rally in Sanford, Fla. later this month, Hatewatch has learned.

Speaking via phone from Jacksonville, where his group was holding a press conference with NBPP area spokesman Mikhail Muhammad, NBLM head Minister Prince Najee Shaka Muhammad today told Hatewatch that the armed rally, planned for April 21, is part of a crusade to obtain “justice” for Trayvon Martin, the black teenager whose shooting death in Sanford at the hands of a neighborhood watch volunteer has caused waves of outrage across America. Neo-Nazis Plan Patrols in Florida in Wake of Trayvon Martin Shooting

The neo-Nazi National Socialist Movement (NSM) has announced that it will be conducting patrols in Seminole County, Fla., to protect “local citizens from the area who are concerned for the safety of their families.” The group says it is prepared for “racial violence” in the Sanford area, where the Martin shooting occurred, and that is has been “contacted by dozens of local citizens” supposedly seeking protection.

The NSM’s announcement warns of imminent racial violence, saying that “the Melting Pot is brimming over like a powder keg ready to explode into the streets.” Rabidly anti-Semitic and racist, the NSM is known for its frequent rallies, where members often come dressed in full Nazi uniforms featuring swastika armbands. The killing of Trayvon Martin has aroused the passions of extremists on both sides of the racial divide, with some blaming civil rights leaders and the media for the controversy – and black separatist leaders suggesting vigilante justice for the neighborhood watch volunteer who shot the unarmed 17-year-old in Florida. WND Promotes Anti-Abortion Film for Black History Month

Taking a break from its usual offerings of “birther” propaganda, gay-bashing, and End Times prophecy, Joseph Farah’s online publication WorldNetDaily (WND) is promoting a new film, “Gates of Hell,” a propaganda piece supporting the Christian right notion that abortion is a vicious plot to destroy black America.

“Gates of Hell” is a feature-length pseudo-documentary set in a dystopian near future in which a group of “black power extremists” set out to terrorize and murder abortion providers. Its producer, frequent WND contributor Jason “Molotov” Mitchell, is a former wedding videographer who made a name for himself in 2008 with “Video Portrait of Barack Hussein Obama,” an online offering that accused then-candidate Obama of being a racist, Marxist and anti-Semite “discipled” in “quasi-Christianity,” and asked “[W]hen we are at war with Islam can Americans elect a man with not one, not two, but three Islamic names?” ( continue to full post… )

Hate Group Founder’s Post on Homeland Security Board on Hold

How could the founder of a virulently racist, anti-Semitic group whose leaders urge violence against whites and the police be appointed to a Dallas group that advises elected leaders on how to improve homeland security?

That’s the burning question, as the Dallas County Commission cancelled a vote today on the reappointment of Aaron McCarthy, founder of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP), to an advisory committee on the county’s emergency management system. McCarthy has served on the group since last September.

County Judge Clay Jenkins said the area’s interim homeland security director suggested to him suspending or disbanding the advisory group because, so far, it’s been redundant and unproductive — not because of McCarthy’s role on it. That’s the reason Jenkins said he asked County Commissioner John Wiley Price, who had appointed McCarthy, to withdraw the name. Price did so. ( continue to full post… )

Radical Campus Organization Linked to Southern Hate Group

Youth for Western Civilization (YWC), an ultraconservative student group, has long cultivated relationships with white nationalist organizations like American Renaissance, the National Policy Institute and the H.L. Mencken Club. Last spring, it even allowed American Renaissance leader Jared Taylor — who has written that black people are incapable of sustaining any kind of civilization without whites to aid them — to write a fundraising letter, sent out with an accompanying missive from YWC’s president, suggesting that Taylor’s followers send YWC money.

But the campus group has insistently, if improbably, denied having any racist views.

Now, the YWC appears to be forging ties with the League of the South (LOS), a neo-Confederate hate group that advocates a second Southern secession and a society dominated by “European Americans.” The League believes that the “godly” nation it forms should be run by “Anglo-Celtic” (read: white) elites who would establish a Christian theocratic state and politically dominate non-white people. It leader, Michael Hill, opposes racial intermarriage and has denounced egalitarianism as a “Jacobin” leftist doctrine that undermines healthy societies. ( continue to full post… )
