The Southern Poverty Law Center’s Immigrant Justice Project, based in Atlanta, Georgia, seeks to sponsor applicants for postgraduate legal fellowships to start in September 2014.

The Immigrant Justice Project protects the employment and civil rights of migrant farmworkers and other low-wage immigrant workers and brings high-impact cases in nine states in the Southeast.

About the Fellowship:

We are seeking applicants for the Skadden Fellowship, Equal Justice Works Fellowship, Liman Fellowship, or other public interest fellowships.

Qualifications:

Applicants should be law students graduating in the spring of 2014 (rising third year students) or current law clerks.

Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to public interest law, strong writing, research, and analytical skills, and interest in learning federal court litigation skills.

Applicants who speak Spanish proficiently are especially encouraged to apply.
