Deputy Legal Director

Jerri Katzerman oversees the SPLC’s multi-state effort to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable children. She has extensive experience representing children with disabilities in cases related to special education and anti-discrimination laws. She previously worked with the Native American Disability Law Center, located in the Four Corners region of the Southwest, and she has served as managing attorney for the Arizona Center for Disability Law, in Phoenix.

She is a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, holds a master’s degree in history from the University of Arizona, and graduated from the University of Arizona College of Law. She previously served as a law clerk to the late John M. Roll, United States District Judge for the District of Arizona.
