Education Advocate, Louisiana Initiatives
Maggie Yates assists in organizing campaigns to reduce the incarceration rate for Louisiana youth and ensure public schools provide students with the services and opportunities they need to succeed in the classroom. She works with students and parents throughout Louisiana to address their concerns and needs, including serving as an advocate for students with disabilities during school disciplinary hearings. She is a graduate of Macalester College and the School for International Training where she focused on community development projects in Uganda.
