Senior Staff Attorney, Mississippi Initiatives
Vanessa Carroll works to protect the constitutional rights of children in Mississippi’s public schools and detention facilities. She also works to ensure children receive the educational and rehabilitative services they deserve by law. She joined the SPLC’s Mississippi office as a law fellow and briefly assisted with the SPLC’s Florida initiatives. She is a graduate of New York University and the University of Wisconsin Law School where she was an editor of the Wisconsin Women’s Law Journal.
